Today, April 2nd, is World Autism Acceptance Day. Although the entire month of April is Autism Acceptance and Neurodiversity Month. Some major changes have happened since last year, so please note the following. The Charlestown Mothers Association is pleased to offer college scholarships to high school graduates who have been residents of Charlestown for five years and who will be attending college in the fall. Completed applications are due April 22, 2022. Link to apply is on our website under the "Scholarships" tab.

The CMA Spring Egg Hunt is back! Saturday, April 9, come to the Bunker Hill Monument by 10 a.m. sharp! This event is BYOB (Bring Your Own Basket). There will be thousands of eggs to find, games to play, face painting, music and, of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Save the NEW date! Join us on Saturday June 18th for a Boardwalk Gala Fundraiser at the Harry Parker Boathouse in Brighton. With a waterfront locale of the Charles River, the boathouse is the perfect spot for an evening on the water with friends, games, prizes and more. Transportation will be provided to and from Charlestown for an additional cost. This event typically sells out so set an reminder for April 25th when tickets sales go live 🎟

Little Free Libraries: Our March books focus on Women's History Month and the celebration of female stories and authors. Be sure to check out these titles in March- An Equal Shot: How the Law Title IX Changed America by Helaine Becker, The Year We Learned to Fly by Jacqueline Woodson, Voice of Freedom: Fannie Lou Hamer by Carole Boston Weatherford and Becoming by Michelle Obama.

UPDATE: We received the unfortunate news that @bostonplans is partially closing Pier 4 due to structural deficiencies. We hope that the BPDA can find a spot for the amazing programming @courageoussailing offers children each summer. That being said, the 2022 gala will be held at an alternate location. Details to come.....
