2020 Yunnan Sourcing "Happy Elephants" Ripe Pu-erh 🐘 This cake is pressed from a blend of Menghai area ripe pu-erh teas. The blend of tippy and medium sized leaves yields a classically Menghai smooth, sweet, and earthy tasting tea that will improve in taste and aroma with each passing year. The scene of the two elephants is from a real event that happened in early 2020 when a herd of elephants ventured into a nearby tea garden, carousing with each other and eventually napped among the tea bushes. Some accounts claim the elephants stole some of the tea grower's alcohol stash and got drunk, then falling asleep, but this version of the story seems implausible. 2020 Yunnan Sourcing "Year of the Rat" Ripe Pu-erh We blended 10 different teas from several regions and wet pile batches to create a complex and tasty ripe pu-erh that is worthy of aging!   There are many leaf grades including cha tou, gong ting, and grades 1 through 5 all blended together to create something full-bodied and long lasting.

🐓2017 Yunnan Sourcing "Crimson Rooster" Ripe Pu-erh The tea is strong and full-bodied and produces a thick dark tea soup. The tea has some dark chocolate-like bitterness and a quick sweetness that follows and blends with a spicy dried fruit taste that lingers in the mouth and throat, in a most comforting manner. This is a medium level of wet piling, the leaves having little green color, but lacking the mud-like consistency of heavy wet piled style ripe. 2017 Yunnan Sourcing "Hui Run" Ripe Pu-erh. First flush material was collected from several Bu Lang villages and fermented for 46 days. We blended the various grades to create a balance recipe comprising of tippy golden buds and heavier grade Te Ji, 1,3, and 5 leaves. The term "Hui Run" refers to the sweet, slippery and soothing feeling that lingers in the mouth and throat even after the tea drinking session has ended.
