Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Silvin Scholastica @silvinscholastica

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

So, I am from Tanjung Balai Karimun, near Batam in Kepulauan Riau province. Studied high school at Bandung and currently I am studying university in Multimedia Nusantara University. All along I have been very active in school or even campus organization. Currently majoring in Computer Science.
I love to dance and have been dancing in dance groups since Primary School. Whether if it’s in Tanjung Balai or Bandung or even Tangerang I have joined and have group dances in three different places.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m interested in Technology, especially new devices that you had never imagined would exist. I also love to do make-ups but not profesionally. I love to dance a lot but I seldom do freestyles, mostly group dances. I love humour and I do lots of random carpool lipsync whenever I feel like to. Usually I post selfies, group photos, organization photos and more.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Silvin Scholastica is my name. Silvin is my reall full name and yes only 6 letters. Scholastica is my Catholic Baptism name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Picsart, Inshot, Meitu and sometimes Prisma if I feel like turning my original photo into art. For collage photos I always use Picsart. If I want to border my photo into 1:1 or 16:9 or even 3:4 I often use Inshot because it works for both photo and videos. Lately Inshot had updated so users can put stickers and even insert library songs to video. I use Meitu to look "perfect". In Meitu there are two options. You can beautify yourself or you can edit the effects. In beautifu there are literally everything; you can look taller, remove acnes, remove wrinkles, make your face look thinner and many more. Meanwhile in Meitu edit you can edit the photo effects, rotate, create mosaic, even insert texts and draw on your photos.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Instagrammers that I like are a lot. Including; Xiaxue, Bongqiuqiu, they both have cute kids and their fashion, travel trips, lifestyle etc are worth to stalk for. Nikitakusuma too inspires me by her fashion, travel vlogs, and even her realtionship with her boyfriend. TEHEE. Also there’s Querramellca inspiring people a lot by her creativity and humour. She is also a perfect dancer with awesome body and literally just perfect.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think they gotta try using Instragram as a place to inspire people, to help people know which is right and which is wrong and not a place to do social litter.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being an influencer, people get to know your life that you let them see. When you post funny stuffs they can experience the humour with you too. By creating stuffs that are informs and inspires will help people know more about life.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think brands should maintain their consistency and not promising things they don’t even give. People who join with big hopes will end up getting disappointed if they didn’t get what they really expected. Authenticity will be maintained if brands are approved and are supported by local or even international influencers. Imagine Justin Bieber supporting local brand let’s say "Calvin Keith", automatically people will know that Calvin keith is authentic since that brand is supported by an artist or social influencer.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Content should be original and not based on other influencers. Their work would be copyrighted by that way. Wuality including stuffs in videos/posts that are not necessary to be not included in posts.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It’s a win-win solution. Brands get supported by being told to public it’s authentic and on the other side, I get to help the brand and probably increasing the circle of influency.
