Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Shikin Vira @Kxnv_

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Shikin Vira, 20 years old this year. I’m from a country with a small little red dot appeared on the globe, called Singapore. I recently moved to Australia, Perth to study. I am doing my bachelor of arts in Journalism at the moment.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I usually post selfies most, sometimes, “promotes” what i wear and post things that i do. Travel, fashion and food are my topic interest. I have always wanted to be a journalist writing reviews.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s from my nickname. Majority calls me Kin. Thought of a creative way to replace the “i” with “x” and added “v” because of my last mame.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I’ve been using the app called ‘Afterlight’ for about 5 years now. Sometimes, i used the instagram filters and adjust it. Other than that, i’ll use photo collage – Fuzel.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I’ve always like Lilymac and Cara. They inspired me with the fashion, selfies and make ups.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Probably trying to be like me. Haha. I’m just kidding. One of the thing they just gotta try now is to not be afraid of showing and posting about who they are and be themselve instead of following trends.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favourite part of being an influencer is to be a good role model. Giving positive vibes to influencees and it’ll make me happy to see people got influenced in a good way instead of the opposite.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Some of my top tips to brand for running campaigns is to not ruin the brand image and trust. Maintaining authenticity is really important because i personally will never go for non authentic so do most people. In order to maintain, you have to beware of your competitors.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

The advice that i’ll give would be “no copyrights”. Giving opinions.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Majority will have this in mind saying, “it’s fun to get free samples and promote. First to try” etc. But in my point of view, the best thing about partnering with brands is getting to know and feel that I will be influencing people to try the brands that i’m promoting and share with them my honest opinions and reviews.
