Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: sarah ng @_squarebear

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a full time student. i enjoy playing sports and eating during my free time hahah. I’ve always been a very loud and bubbly person, i love making new friends but i’m afraid to do my presentations in class.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post about food the most! i love eating, i live and breathe food. one of the reasons why i love Malaysia because we have so many different types of food. The only reason why i wake up in the morning is because i know i could eat breakfast and honestly that makes me really happy. hahaha

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My ex use to call me sarbear but sarbear was pretty common. The closest word to sar was square. So i decided to put it as squarebear and it just kinda got stuck.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

VSCO is my go to app. i normally choose a filter and play with the brightness, warmth, highlights etc.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

i love Cindercella, i feel like she isn’t afraid to be who she is. She is absolutely beautiful and she’s such a meme. Her make up skills and ootds are my inspiration.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Ya’ll gotta watch don’t trust that B in apartment 23, i’m currently watching this series and i love it.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

i wouldn’t call myself an influencer, i’m still pretty small but my favorite part about it would be probably the food that i get to try.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I try to say no to products or services i wouldn’t pay for. As much as being paid is great (i mean who doesn’t want a little extra pocket money?) but your followers are paying to buy something that might not be good.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I try to always remind myself of the values i was brought up with and ask myself would 15 year old me be proud of who i am right now. I tend to post things that makes me happy as well, if you creating a profile that isn’t "you" then its going to be harder to maintain momentum and creativity.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

the thing i’m most excited about when partnering with brands are using the product, i didn’t use to use any skincare products but now i realize using the products actually makes a difference on my face and seeing the results surprises me everytime!
