Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: SANTINA BARBA @santinabarba

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello, currently working in marketing, direct my magazine dedicated to women and work as a blogger and youtuber. I live in Italy and I have lots of hobbies. I love animals, decorate the house (mine, relatives, friends) and work as a graphic designer.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I work in the field of cosmetics for years. I am the founder of a magazine dedicated to beauty and fashion, free press in Rome (Italy). I love cosmetics and based mainly topics involving women (beauty, makeup, fashion, etc.). On instagram, through photos, they talk about everything and not only beauty and makeup … is my space for recreation, as well as facebook page.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I promote my articles, videos and magazine on many forums and social and I know many people through my work. It also helps me a lot to work with the right companies, translate my articles to reach around the world … not only to italy.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use photoshop, but all I’m concerned, starting from my journal, is edited by me (graphic). I love the shapes, colors, and I take care of the design and graphics of my blog www.lookandbeauty.it, my magazine and everything else. I also use Indesign and Quark Xpress. It remains only one thing to do … buy a camera and improved cellular 🙂

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I follow only companies, but I would say Carli Bybel.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If I understand the question, I would say it has to prove low cost products.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Help people buy the right products and, at the same time, also promote small companies to emerge. The influencer has a privilege that must be managed carefully.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

For running campaigns and maintain authenticity?
1. To enhance the strengths of a product
2. Listen to the end customer and product enhancements
3. Enhancing the product without resorting to images and untruthful advertising
4. Be represented by “normal people”, approach many hearts and involve a greater number of followers.
5. No less important for the campaign on social: Relying too small influencers. Small influencers reach fewer people probably, but will be excited, energetic, and they will do a great job thanks to the trust placed in them. The great influencers, are less involved and more “mechanical” just because they have to handle so much “work.”

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I believe that the customer does not point to the original content because he loves to test despite having already his favorite product. Of course an original product attracts the curiosity of the customer, but often we focus on packaging of a product … if this is original, luxurious, might have more success keeping the quality of the first (if it was already on the market a similar product).
As for the quality: I believe it is now necessary to focus on quality at a fair price. Increase prior to the detriment of the latter is the right choice if you choose to direct its product to a defined group of persons.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

As I said in answer 7: have the privilege to experience and learn about new brands and products, you can promote them extolling the strengths and provide companies with a true service, sincere, helping them to grow. Influencers and companies will make a reciprocal service, in the interests of both and in favor of third parties.
