Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Priscilla @prexixi

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello there! I’m Priscilla but every that follows me on instagram calls me Prexixi. Nope, this is not just a random act cute name that I’ve derived to attract attention. In fact, it’s a combination of Priscilla and xixi (my chinese name), hence the hybrid of prexixi as a result. ?

I’m born and breed in Singapore and i’m a proud Singaporean. The most unique part of me will be my size, i’m a double plus size girl. yes, i’m not a beginner plus, i’m reaaaally huge but that doesn’t stop me from chasing my dreams. Well… I may just take a little longer bcos i cant run far for too long?? I know there are people out there that view plus size differently, but that’s ok, no one can stop u from achieving what you want except yourself. I want to show the world and inspire the rest of the plus size girls that hey! We can do anything we want to, there are no rules to plus size, you want to be a singer? Do it! Ballerina, go for it! Why wait?

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I don’t necessary have a topic of interest but if i have to choose one i’ll pick beauty and fashion? Not so much a fashionista but i am madly in love with accessories and make up!

Crazy stuff, interesting sight or experiences. I dedicate most of my post to my friends because they’re really important to me. I do make up, product review as well if it’s interesting enough.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Oh! I mention it in the 1st qns. It’s ok, i’ll do it again. It’s simple, my full name is Priscilla Lim Xi Xi so i just happen to break them up and form a new combination: prexixi (get it?) i call it the HYBRID. ?

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Really lousy at editing but I do have an app that’s very idiot proof – 美人相机 (so sorry, no english name for it) and usually i’ll just snap my photos with beautycam and TADA! This actually save me from all the editing needed?

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

It gotta be XIAXUE. Everything on her is so cool and interesting! Maybe it’s partly due to the range of make up she expose us to, so i follow her on all social media possible to view more of her. Her character makes her an interesting person as well!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Check out Doll Kills website, they’re having sales now! So much shopping to do with loads of amazing interesting stuff to be sold!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Wait, i don’t think i’m at the influencer level yet but I love inspiring people, especially all the plus size individual out there. Stop feeling low and negative about yourself, i’m here to show them that i’m a double plus but I can still rock the world in my own way, stay positive!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Stay true and real, there’s nothing weigh more than mutual trust between a brand and they’re believer.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Just be real. I mean why stage the authenticity to gain followers and viewership? If your quality is solid enough, viewers will still come to you no matter what. Be true to you and your product, if its good, it’s good. Lies will be expose one day.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I’m gonna be extremely honest on this, first advantage… Free products! It’s a win win situation, we help them to boost their brands by sharing our review on their products/names. I’m of cos extremely happy to be exposed to more people and brands as well. New people, more interesting experiences ???
