Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Nicky Lark @CalmlyKaotic

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a fashion + lifestyle blogger, freelance graphic designer, marketing major, wife, wannabe stylist, kind-of-photographer, ultimate multi-tasker, glass half full type, and sucker for a good coffee. I spend my time between my home-base; the South Coast of NSW, and Sydney, but look forward to a few international travel adventures coming soon.
My blog is about all things fashion, travel, life & embracing the mayhem.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My content is a mix between fashion and personal style, wellbeing and lifestyle, food, travel and beauty.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I’ve always been creative, as a graphic designer, and have had a love of photography for as long as I can remember. I started following some fashion bloggers and realised quite quickly it was something I wanted to pursue for myself. So, the name came about due to life; juggling employment, freelance work, side passion projects, relationships and everything in-between. It’s like the duck on water – a vision of composure while their little legs are going a million miles an hour under water!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I like to rely on good lighting, but aside from instagram’s editing tools I use PicTapGo.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Too many to mention! Oraclefox is the ultimate.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

New trends in fashion, new restaurants, anything new upcoming and stylish!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Connecting with likeminded influencers, and brands.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

It’s great to work with brands that trust your aesthetic and allow freedom with image composition and captions. It means that even though there may be a common theme among influencers working with the same brand the content and message is unique and authentic.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

The variety of content created by influencers means more people are being exposed to new brands and products and finding new ways to use, style, and live by the brands that we love.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Working with likeminded people behind the brand and being presented with (and being able to share) new products.
