1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a Senior Network Engineer at Smart Communications Inc., the largest mobile service provider in the Philippines. Currently residing at Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City but my hometown is in Calumpit, Bulacan. I graduated from Bulacan State University with Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering. Ranked 7th during the 2011 Electronics Engineering Board Examination which was held nationwide. A consistent Dean’s lister during college years. I was quite a Geek back then. ?

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travel! My interest in travelling (as well as instagramming) started when my friends and I went to Gigantes Islands in Iloilo. After the trip, I started posting photo of the awe-inspiring and picturesque view of the different islands there. And it turn out positively as I had gain more followers which were also asking about the place (how to get there, some ask for itinerary). I was overwhelm from the feedback I got. From then on, I booked more travel for as much as I can. It also felt good that I can help (even just a little) with the Tourism here in the Philippines. ✈️

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

eljon20; is well, simply my first name jumbled then 20 is my birthdate. Nothing interesting about that. ?

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I constantly use VSCO as I enjoy choosing from their numerous array of aesthetically good filters. After applying filter, I just simply adjust the Lux, Brightness, Contrast, Warmth, Saturation, Highlights and Sharpen directly on Instagram app. If photo is needing an advance editing, I use snapseed. If it wont work, then I have no choice but to use Adobe Photoshop as my last resort. ?

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I was inspired to travel more by @the.restless.pinoy.traveler , a travel blogger from the province of Pampanga, Philippines. ??

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Travel as much as you can, as long as you can, as far as you can! Meeting new people and experiencing local culture are the best parts. ?

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part about being an influencer is when your followers react to your posts and tell you that they are being inspired by the content. You are helping your followers in the same way you are helping the brand. ?

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Choose to collaborate with people who are interested with your product. Much better if they are already using/consuming it. That way, they can easily promote your brand. ?

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

They say quality is better than quantity. Well in instagram’s case, it is true. We dont want our followers to see reposts or repetitive photos in our feed. Keeping your own style or palette is also a way of showing quality and originality. ??

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Aside from the perks (of course), partnering with brands also help me to interact with people from different walks of life. Share and inspire! ??
