Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Jennifer Smith @jenuineblogger

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am 28, from Ireland and live in Perth Australia. I work a part time professional legal job as well as blog as full time as possible, work as a makeup artist at the weekends, host beauty workshop events for the ladies of Perth oh and am in the throws of launching my very first ever brand – JENuine Hair Extensions. Life is busy but I love it so much!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love to post about my makeup and skincare favourites, as well as fashion and style I am loving, my travel advice and tips for places I have visited and spreading the word about Perth girlboss brands and businesses.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I conjoined my name and the word genuine bring JENuine Blogger to life. My blog is all about being genuine and completely transparent.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

FaceTune is my go to first – I will use it to whiten spaces and blur backgrounds and even smooth over skin for some pictures. Before posting on Instagram I will always then edit the sharpness, brightness and highlight to approx 30 on each setting (trust me it makes a fab edit)

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really love following @TerrieMcEvoy she is a fellow Irish blogger and a nurse based in Sydney who is not only beautiful and relatable to lots, she is genuine too!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

IG stories!! You need to keep up with posting. if you can post a snap or a video every couple of hours you’re always going to be the first on someone that follows you news feed(as the newest feed always goes to the front.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Getting to connect with so many like minded females in the industry and that like what I do. I have made some amazing friendships just from blogging alone that I would have never met any other way. Makes it so worthwhile.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Always use the persons name when contacting them, makes a much bigger impact. Don’t be over pushy and demanding and always give a contract with timeframes of expected delivery of posts that the blogger can agree to.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Be you – never try to sound like anyone else it will show.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Building relationships and bouncing creative ideas back and forth about a project to create a fabulous responsive collaboration and then actually see it come to life. Also just the opportunities you get with brands that open the door to so many more.
