Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Isabell Xiaolin @isabellxiaolin

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a happy girl and I have a signature smile! Like being in happy mood and things always goes right! I’m an Interior Designer, I usually giving design consultation and propose design for corporate offices, residential and retail shop. I love arts and I like crafting too, I always scrabble and do calligraphy on my own when I’m alone and I’m bored at home. Like to observe and explore new stuffs and arts around the world, then taking photos of all the things I’ve seen! I really like editing photos like download more apps to create different kind of feeling in my photos! Sounds cool ya? Observation and imagination is one of my personality! I’m also a blogger but I’m not famous or have a lot of readers but I blog because I like sharing my thoughts with everyone and I usually blog about my daily travel life or food review the most!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m interested on arts, photography, travel, food and fashion or beauty! I usually post my travel photos in my Instagram, I travel at least once a half year! Not forgetting that I’m a food lover, I love food, I like to eat thats why my body size is gaining, Oh god! I like to take food photos and follow the photography trend in social media! I like to take photos in every angle, different angle gives different kind of feeling in the photos! Last but not least, I like selfie as all the girls like to selfie too! When I have good look today, I will take more selfies and I can’t choose which to post in Instagram and struggle for a moment of it! Haha!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I don’t have any specific nickname or special names that people call me or I call myself. My Instagram’s name came from my own name itself! I got my nickname inspired by my elder sister, she called Bell and I like to have similar names as her so I used the name Isabell and XiaoLin is my name that my parents gave me. Close friends call me Xiao Lin and colleagues or social media call me Isabell so I combine it together became “Isabellxiaolin” in my instagram and other social network!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Yes, I love editing photos! I always hang out in the apps store and download it to try, if i’m not satisfy I just uninstall and look for others. So far, I’m using VSCO and Snapseed as scenery photo editing and to crop photos too. Then somehow I use BeautyPlus or MakeUp Plus to edit my personal selfie as I don’t take heavy make up and some acne or scars on my face will be seen so I just have a little bit of touching up on my photos! Actually I seldom use these facial apps because I got a good camera too, haha! Currently, I found a new apps called “In”, this apps allow to paste some cute or funny sticker in your photos and some wording effects! Quite fun, try it out!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Oh, that’s a lot! Too many people inspired me and motivate me to be a social media influencer so I’m working hard on it! Jane Chuck, Cheesie, Isabella Kuan, Chenelle Wen, Daphne Charice, Jennifer Foh and few more. They are really pretty and they really inspired me and I learn lots of beauty tips and fashion style from them! As well as the travel tips too, the other instagrammers might travel a lot but I will work hard to success my dream to travel around the world! I frequently post Instagram to make my Instagram more active!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I have no idea about this topic right now, I’m going blank now. OMG! I don’t know what would it be to try on something.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Actually I’m not a influencer yet, but from what I get to know from them is, they attend many events like brand launching and review products to tell their fans or readers how’s the products are! Their fashion style is a most important part as well but I seldom have lots of different style so I seldom have ootd or any fashion style. I think the most favourite part for me will be travelling? Travel around the world and introduce people about new places, new food, new theme parks, new destinations, or new trend. Be the one who try out new things and introduce them to everyone, that’s what I always wanted to do as an influencer! I’m still improving and working hard on my fashion style as the fashion trend now is crazy!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Usually a brand running a campaign, hashtag is important because it is visible and prevalent over the internet. So, they usually invite influencers, famous bloggers, artists to attend the event to promote their campaign. If a brand could spend more to invite normal people to attend the campaign. that is also a chance to increase the popularity to know about the brand. They should create some contest for the readers to join or attend the campaign. This is also a chance for the other to show their ability or their power during the contest and this could build more influencers around the world as well. So everyone could be a influencers because the popularity in the world is increasing, babies are growing and the influencers are getting older soon.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

To have a a good brand is to determine their quality of the brand to allows people to give trust and getting the products. A good quality products will not fail to get trusted by anyone and good quality products can last longer or maybe will have more benefits towards our body or anywhere else. If an influencer used an original and quality products as their trusted and recommended products in their daily life, the effect of the products will tell the story. Therefore, quality and original content is very important, to customers or the company itself. You give quality and original products to customers and they like it then they will purchase more and promote your products. So there will be double win for the consumer as well as the brand, in the business line.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I’ve never tried to be part of partner with any brands yet. I haven’t got to experience it as well, but I wish I could have the chance one day and many brands look for me as well! I think the best part about partnering with brands would be allowing to attend many many events held by the brand like launching, festive event, or maybe other showcase purpose. If a brand is good for my skins or my body or myself, I would continue purchasing the products or introduce to everyone! Beside that, review will be one of the best part as well (for me). If you’re an influencer, you wish to introduce and tried out the products for everyone so people could choose which brands or type of the products to use and giving other suggestions and comment about the products whether it is good or not recommend. This is all what I think it would be as partnering with any brands.
