Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Edu Saz @edusaz

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Eduardo. I´m from Madrid and I´m finishing my master in architecture while growing an online community in my Instagram @edusaz and my Youtube channel "Tilysaz", which I do in collaboration with my dear friend @monitily.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Fashion and architecture are my main focus on Instagram. I think there is some kind of connection between them: the need of wrapping human being turned into a technical and artistic way of expression. This idea is the reason why I mix this two disciplines, and lately I´m starting to introduce a bit more of lifestyle, beauty and personal care.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Edusaz is the union of the first and last three letters of my full name. When I started posting more professional pictures, I felt the need of a name that would be short, personal, related to my own name and specially easy to remember.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I always use Snapseed to reduce temperature, add some exposure and shadows, sharpen, and to edit some local spots with the tool "brush". Then normally apply the same filter in Vsco to give a unique feeling to my feed. You can see my complete photo-editing routine in my youtube channel "Tilysaz", in this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4joHig4CkXw&t=207s

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I follow many accounts of people who inspire me, but I would say @gigivives. I think se has that nordic style that influenced me when I lived in Copenhagen, and also a parisian style, kind of chic with a sporty touch. The use of neutral colors, basics clothes with something different, and outfits with some eye-catching pieces is something we have in common.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I use my instastories to recommend many products to my followers every week, and also some apps, shops or places to go. But if I had to say just one thing now it would be the corean routine for facial cleansing. It takes so much time because it´s composed of ten steps, but I try to do it at least once a week to feel my skin renovated and spend some time for myself. It´s very relaxing, and you can see how to do it in my Youtube chanel through this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LG6NnfsHzfo&t=18s

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I think is great to work with brands, meeting new people with similar interests and of course having a hobbie that became a work. For me the best part of it is how much you learn in every action you do. After more than a year as fashion influencer, I´ve improved many things related to the content I post but also the way I manage what it´s behind the camera.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I always look for brands and products that have something different, and try to show it to my followers from my point of view. I´ve rejected many collaborations because they tell me how to do the post, or because I don´t feel the work is gonna bring anything new and valuable to my audience. I think being honest and saying what you really think is the key to build a community and maintain the engagement.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think having references of images from anything in your mind always help to the creative process. Instagram, Tumblr and Pinterests are great to search for that inspiration we need, but we should´t forget we can get it also from our daily life, or even other disciplines, artistic or not. And about the quality of the content, I personally prefer not to post for some days than showing a picture I´m not totally sure of

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

For me it has been a way to start working in fashion industry. As I said before, I studied architecture but fashion has always been a hobbie for me. Thanks to my work on Instagram I´ve had the chance to create a personal brand as influencer, growing and managing an online community in social networks, attending to fashion events and much more.
