Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Christy Lee @christy_lylok

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m an eighteen-year-old university student from Hong Kong, currently studying in HKU. I am also a part-time model and food critic.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Instagram is all about fun and relaxing! I mostly post pleasant moments I encounter during trips, the most delicious foods, enjoyable hangout moments and cute selfiez;)

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name was supposed to be “therabbit”, which is my nickname because people say I look like one from a Facebook sticker.. LMAO!
But unfortunately, the name is being used by another user after I changed my name for a brief moment, so now it’s “christy_lylok”! Which is still nice because it’s my name. Lesson learnt!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually start with Pixlr to enhance photo quality, then simply Instagram filter away ~
Pixlr comes with a collage-creating function as well.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

The instagrammer who inspires me the most is @mollyluwho
Her colourful and lively photos are just irresistable.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Hashtags. You’ve got to use hashtags. There is a higher chance people search for relevant pictures and discover your account!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being an influencer allows me to suggest more fun ideas and great places to experience with. Another great part is how I get to express my ideas. They could be about life in general, my experience and advises, or even political views.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Make sure to provide enough background information about your brand. Sometimes we need more information to evaluate on, and also to complement on!
Another thing would be to give more time for the users to experiment with your product. Let us have more time to see whether a product works well in a longer term.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

To be original, we first have to USE IT. Avoid being stingy on the samples or testers for a more positive review.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Like everyone, I believe the best part is definitely getting to try more new products! You never know if it’s going to be amazing and life(style)-changing. It is also a great chance for me to share more precious moments with family and friends as I could share the experience — AND they get the first hand information on products from my brand partnership.
