Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Becky @caffxine

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a full time student living in New York City. I love walking and rather walk to places than take public transit

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love photography, particularly of people, but I post photos of mostly food because I love exploring new places and finding good food.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I love caffeine and it just seemed fitting to change my name toward something food related when I started posting frequently about food.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use VSCOcam and generally use the A6 filter for my photos. I also try to straighten my photos if they’re crooked.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like ladyironchef and datethiscity because they post about food and places to explore. Eatingwithminnie inspires me because her feed is clean and appealing.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Liquid nitrogen made to order ice cream at 321 Ice Cream Shop in NY. Not only is the ice cream making process a film worthy procedure, but the end products looks just like the stock photo. How many places can live up to that?

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Having people come up to me and say “Whenever I don’t know where to eat, I check out your profile and look at where you’ve been,” and knowing that I’m able to inspire people is heartwarming.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

To captitivate theie attention first with great photos and a clever comment. If brands sponsored Instagrammers with a good following base and asked them to review their products, they would receive honest reviews and a wider audience from the Instagrammer’s followers.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

There are so many lookalike accounts on instagram now that seem to have the same blank photos and yea, minimalism was popular a few years ago but try to find our own style. Persoanlly I enjoy having my photos to be vibrant and colorful versus only having flatlays and white backgrounds. Play around with color and theme as you see fit.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like being able to discover new things, products I may have never been able to discover otherwise. And if I really enjoy using the product, I would recommend them to my followers the same way I would recommend good products to friends.
