Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Aidan Randleman @Inspired_gent

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m just a regular 18 year old but what makes me different than most is the eye I have for detail. I’ve been obsessed with dressing well for a few years now and I’ve learned a lot from it. I wasn’t the most attractive child growing up but when I became interested in fashion it really clicked with me. I was able to thrive by taking risks with matching patterns and colors. I live in Illinois near Chicago so I’m able to visit the city quite a bit (it’s my favorite place to dress up).

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Most of my posts on Instagram feature suits and ties. I love putting together a suit. There is so much that goes into it like the pocket square, the flower pin, the tie, etc… I could go on forever. When I’m not wearing a suit, I like to dress causally as well. For example, I post photos for advice on wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and boat shoes. Basically, my Instagram is very broad.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name came from the fact that I was inspired when I was young by movie actors. I loved watching movies where fashion was a big influence. Because I was inspired to do what I do, I want to inspire others to step up their game in the fashion world. I’ve set a goal to help other guys not make terrible mistakes when they walk out the door to work or to hang out with friends.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

My favorite editing app is called “Aviary”. When I’ve finished editing with “Aviary” I like to use the app called “Blur Editor” just to add a blurred effect and keep the focus on my clothes.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

My favorite Instagramer to draw influence from is Adam Gallagher. He has the Instagram account that I want one day.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I promote the Eldredge tie knot a lot on my Instagram (it’s kind of my hallmark). I think it’s a such a unique knot that takes skill to tie and it shows that you really know what you’re doing.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love being asked for advice on what to wear. Not because I like the attention, but I love helping other guys because we’re all in this together.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Get involved. If your fans see that you really care about them it will go a long way. I try to reply to every comment on my Instagram posts. It can be hard at times but there’s really no other feeling like responding to your fans.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Anyone can post a photo of what they wore that day. What makes yours different? I ask myself that question before I post every photo. I try to keep my photos original by drawing influence from other people but adding my own twist.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being able to work with brands that I love makes all the difference. It makes me feel like I’m really making a difference and that other people are noticing.
