1)Tell us a little about this photo?
This photo was taken in the Great Ocean Road where we found a spot with the most magnificent stargazing view ever. I am a wedding/travel photographer traveling Melbourne with my blessed couple on our last day of the shooting trip. There wasn’t any formal shooting scheduled for the day as we had lots of great photos taken the days before. This was the day we were supposed to take a drive down the Great Ocean Road, relax and get back to the city to fly back to our country. However, we were having so much fun throughout the day and we didn’t realised that time has past so quickly. By the time we realised, it was already 9pm and the drive back to city will take another 3 hour.
As we were driving back to the city, we saw the sky gradually turned dark and the stars are coming out one by one. We decided to find a dark spot to savour the beautiful moment since you don’t get skies like this all the time and the previous nights were cloudy and rainy nights in the city. As we got down the car, we were astonished by this magnificent 360º view of the starry sky. Immediately I got out my camera and started to shoot the photos for them while freezing under the summer wind. Yes, the strong wind is still cold during summer in Aussie. After we were done with admiring the beauty of nature, we drove back to the city and had only one hour to pack up for our flight. It was exhausting but having seen the Southern Lights in Tasmania, the couple agreed that this was the better view and in fact the best starry night they had ever experienced in their life. Me ? I agrees as well.
2)A catchy title for this photo?
Though my soul is set in darkness,
it will rise in perfect light;
I have loved the stars too fondly,
to be fearful of the night.
