Let’s chat about virtual staging! Last week we asked you all if you had any thoughts or questions about virtual staging and physical home staging, and we’re here to break it down for you! Virtual staging is when someone takes digital photos of empty or poorly furnished rooms and then use software to edit the photo and add in pretty furnishings! Home staging is actually placing these furnishings in the home to improve the appearance of the home and highlight the best features of a space. Here’s the thing with virtual staging…it’s just like online dating 😜Which means that usually what you see in the photos isn’t what you’re going to get in real life. Virtual Staging - Can lead to disappointment and unrealistic expectations when your client goes to see the property in person - It can be misleading. The amount of light in a room or the change of interiors colors can deceive a potential buyer - Digitally displaying furniture at wonky angles and haphazard proportions doesn't give an accurate depiction of the home - Overdone staging gives a false impression Home Staging - Gives buyers a chance to see what could really fit in the space - How the home looks during different times in the day and from different viewpoints - Home staging is a more convenient option if the seller is still living in the home.
