BIBD today welcomed a group of 49 school children from the International School Brunei Religious School for an immersive visit to the BIBD Headquarters in Bandar Seri Begawan. Among the students were His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad Aiman ibni His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince. Also present was Yang Mulia Pg Abdul Wali Amiruddien bin Pg Anak Haji Abdul Wadood. The young visitors were greeted by BIBD's Managing Director and CEO, Awang Junaidi bin Haji Masri. The day began with an interactive briefing, followed by a tour of the BIBD branch. The students had the opportunity to witness firsthand the daily operations of an Islamic financial institution, gaining valuable insights into the various banking services provided by BIBD. Continuing their visit, the students were taken on a tour of the BIBD Perdana Lounge before viewing a briefing on drones, 3D modeling, and virtual reality activities which were developed by BIBD ALAF students. During the visit, the students were also introduced to Arif, BIBD's NEXGEN Ambassador. They learned about the advanced capabilities of this automated assistant and how it enhances the customer experience at BIBD. As part of BIBD's commitment to continuous learning, the students were briefed on the Digital Fikra, BIBD's dedicated digital learning space for staff. The students were also briefed on future job requirements at an Islamic financial institution. The visit marked a memorable day of exploration and learning at BIBD, focusing on BIBD’s dedication to fostering learning, innovation, and customer-centric services. Through the BIBD Sustainability Framework and the Bank’s commitment to upholding the Maqasid Shariah and support Brunei Vision 2035, BIBD continues to showcase its commitment to community engagement through financial inclusion, and to inspiring the next generation to embrace knowledge, technology, and the pursuit of excellence. Today @thejunctionbn hosted a festival at @thejunction.salambigar outlet at Salambigar from 9am to 5:30pm. Her Excellency Miss Boosara Kanchanalai, Ambassador of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam graced the opening ceremony at the Atrium, First Floor, Onecity Shopping Centre earlier this morning. At Thailand Bazaar, The Embassy has cordially rendered invitation to more than 50 Thai vendors and authorized distributors of Thai products in Brunei Darussalam to participate and merchandise Thai food, beverages, desserts, snacks, Thai silk clothes, clothing, jewelries and handicraft items. The activities includes cooking demonstration by the representatives of Thai restaurants, including the carvings of fruits and vegetables, which will be presented to visitors during the 4 days event. After a grueling 10 days of the tennis tournament from qualifying to the main event, 45 teams challenged for the bragging rights for B4 Tennis Championship 2023. In the end, Aiman Abdullah and Eason Lim edged Fidah Rosli and Timothy Lim 3-4 4-1 (10-7) in the finals of the B4 Tennis Championship 2023. The Plate winner went to Dasuqi Sulaiman and Dzul Hadi Yassin after beating Hafiz Damit and Hamirul Latif 6-4 in the Plate final.
