Wisdom is Wealth. Our understated tee says it all. This saying came to me a while back while I was doing quite a bit of studying. Remember the old saying “knowledge is power”. I’d say this is similar in that the more you know the wiser decisions you can make. Wisdom allows you to see the world 🌎 in a much deeper way, and thus enjoy it that much more. It also gives you greater compassion as you learn about other people’s lives. Wisdom in so many areas of learning life makes life richer. This does not just include cliff diving but anything that takes you out of your comfort zone. I won’t go into details but I have started another project and I find myself thinking, “will I look foolish? What will people say” but meanwhile I’m so excited when I think about it there is a skip in my step! You know the feeling? If you feel like a kid on the way to Disneyland you are headed in the right direction. I have been experimenting with this lately. Just say yes when you were going to say no. It is the most amazing feeling! Or don’t go to your regular coffee shop before work, try the one across town. Just try anything! It’s so much more fun then the daily grind. If you feel stuck, it’s really the fear of trying new things. Start small and go bigger. Then, you are like a child exploring a grassy field. When you do something totally different on a random day you feel so alert, so aware, (younger even) just being there with all the strange sights and smells. Like jumping into a cool lake! So guys, let’s break our routine. 😊🙏🏻

The “kingdom of heaven is within” so you have heard. But it’s the simple truth and one of the greatest gifts of being human. Based on popular myths, we tend to think we need a special place to mediate, possibly attend an expensive silent retreat, or wake up at 5am before work to “really do it correctly”. My other favorite “I’m trying really hard to meditate but it’s not working.” Herein’ lies the misbelief that it’s hard, only for monks, or that we are to experience advanced states of nirvana for hours. Those things do happen, but the truth is that more then anything, it’s a natural reconnection to Source, The One, God or Universal Mind. We have listed a 5 min heart/brain harmony exercise down below if you would like something to start with. The breath itself is one of the fastest ways to re-center. After 10 deep and heartfelt breaths you will feel your energy becoming more calm. Your thoughts quiet briefly. After 5-10 min, return to what you are doing and you will feel your energy has shifted. You can do this all day long off and on as you so desire. You can mediate on a walk, swimming, laying down, sitting up, driving in a car, doing the dishes. Meditation does not have to be “a deep trance state”. It is in fact, connection to your higher divine self. A break in the stresses of life. This has helped me through so many tough projects. Through good days and bad. This method of realizing what is really important is not the tiny details but the bigger picture. If your paper is not perfect will you still turn it in on time? Yes. If you are 5 min late will you miss an event? No. If your speech was lost on the hard drive and you had to write a new one would you give up? No. If you felt your work was an B not an A would you just drop out if college? No! If you burnt the turkey for thanksgiving could you still order pizza for 12? Yes. You see? It’s the adventure of it all. This motto has helped me to relax and trust. If there is traffic, a phone where I can’t call, or a quick change of plans. This tiny little motto will help you. I know it helped me survive grad school. 🦋🙏🏻✨🐬🦚
