"Liquidity" refers to how quickly assets can be bought or sold without impacting the price. - The market depth for Binance.US has decreased by nearly 80% over the past month due to regulatory concerns. Market depth is an indicator of the market's liquidity and efficiency. - The lower liquidity of the bitcoin/tether pair compared to other pairs means that even a relatively small buy order (like $400,000) could have a significant impact on the price. In other words, because there were not many people trading bitcoin for tether on Binance.US, a single large purchase could dramatically spike the price. This is an example of how price can be affected by market depth and liquidity.
