You might remember earlier on during the pandemic, Eddie started to serve the community in a different way by creating balloon sculptures of essential workers to thank them for their work. One of the recipients of a balloon postal worker was our postman, Mr. Patel. Mr. Patel took great pride and honor in his daily routes and at 79, we definitely wanted to thank him for making sure the community received their mail daily. We recently learned that Mr. Patel’s 3 year old granddaughter, Serina, is receiving treatment for Leukemia. Serina’s aunt and Mr. Patel’s daughter, Anita, reached out to us to order sculptures of Frozen characters to cheer up her niece who is currently in the ICU. However, due to certain hospital restrictions, latex balloons were not the best option. Good thing balloon art isn’t the only craft Eddie’s a master of. Eddie created some Frozen characters out of Perler beads to cheer her up as she just received one round of chemo treatment. Eddie’s work and reach brought much deserved support for our essential worker superheroes in a very difficult time and we’re hoping you’ll help us do the same for this little hero!
