Hummm how to write this caption without putting out any negativity. Here we go.. let's hope this comes out right. This photo was taken 6 years ago.. I was set up at our local mall for a pop up shop. I remember walking away making less than $100 and feeling so disappointed. Fast forward to this week when I received some very harassing messages from a customer who didn't like a couple of the tumbles chosen for her. I think back and wonder how Amanda 6 years ago would have handled that. Even though I now run a successful business I was not able to brush it off. I cried. I had nightmares that night. And started the next day with an upset stomach. Over 3 tumbles that I would of course refund or send replacements for🙄 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ohhh running a business is not easy. Especially when you put your heart and soul into what you do. It becomes an extension of yourself. And I think.. what if I had listened to the unsolicited comments and advice I've received over the years: "You should shut down", "You should not move the business out of the home", "You should stick to jewelry", "It's nice that you have a husband to support you financially", or the laughter when sharing my sales goals (which I've surpassed EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know I have a lot of followers who own small businesses and I want this to be a reminder to tune out the noise. Stay the course if thats what you're called to do. Listen to your intuition. And ask yourself before you ask someone else. YOU created your business from nothing. YOU know it best. YOU know what it is now and what it could be. I went to add some new tumbles to my collection and ended up doing a fun little exercise that I'm sharing with you in my stories💓 Feel free to head over there for videos or continue reading below: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1️⃣ Lay out your crystals and pick up each one admiring it for its unique characteristics and energy. 2️⃣ As you pick up each stone notice if your intuition speaks to you in any way. This could be a sensation in your hand or feeling in your gut. Maybe you hear an audible "yes!" like I did. 3️⃣ Continue going through your crystals setting aside ones that speak to you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I ended up with these 8 crystals [from top to bottom, left to right: Rainforest Jasper, Charoite, Blue Apatite, Ruby Fuschite, Cobalto Calcite, Quartz, Lepidolite, Iolite]. These are the crystals I will be working with this month - I added in my rainbow filled Quartz to amplify any of the crystals energy that I'm really enjoying. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you try this exercise out I would love to see which crystals you end up with!!
