Then after a midday rest at their Airbnb, they returned to the beach to read their vows with their toes in the sand and the sound of waves crashing in the distance. ⁠ It was romantic, emotional, lowkey, and true-to-them. 😍⁠ ⁠ The next day they put their wedding attire back on, and the fun continued in the Redwoods, where they explored amongst the towering trees with views as far as the eye could see. ⁠ ⁠ If you're thinking about planning a similar Oregon coast/California redwoods elopement, here are a few tips from Emily, their photog!⁠ ⁠ 🌲This area of the coast is only 12 miles, but it’s jam-packed with gorgeous forests and coastal views. It’s becoming increasingly popular and can get crowded, especially on weekends and afternoons. If you're hoping for a more intimate experience, opt for a sunrise elopement during the week!⁠ 🪨 Secret Beach is relatively small- another reason to elope during a less popular time. The hike down is fairly short and somewhat steep. Expect to get your feet wet/sandy, and bring a second pair of “beach/water shoes,” or you don't want to go barefoot. ⁠ 🚘️ This southern portion of the Oregon Coast is far from major airports (like Portland or Sacramento).
