نادي كوكب الأطفال هو فعالية شهرية تتضمن قصة ونقاشًا ونشاطً وتوضح سعي المتحف الحثيث لحماية الكوكب للأطفال الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 5 و11 عامًا. خلال شهر أغسطس، قرأ المشاركون قصة "ابن آوى الأزرق" لفرانسيس والتي ناقشوا فيها موضوع الماء، وتبع ذلك نشاط يشجع الأطفال على إحداث فارق في الطرق الاعتيادية التي يمكننا من خلالها ترشيد استهلاك المياه • Planet Kids Club is our monthly story-time, discussion and activity relating the museum to protecting the planet for kids aged 5-11. For the month of August, they read The Blue Jackal by Frances and discussed the theme water, followed up with an activity that encourages kids to make a difference in ways we can preserve water.

‎يحمل معرض "المسجد: المكان والزمان" الزائر إلى ما وراء حدود قطر، فيقدم له مجموعة من الصور الرائعة لعددٍ من المساجد الشهيرة المنتشرة في بلدان مختلفة حول العالم. من فلسطين إلى سوريا، ومن الهند إلى إسبانيا، والعديد من الدول الأخرى، يطلع الزائر على الأساليب المعمارية المميزة والتأثيرات الثقافية التي تطبع هذه المساجد الشهيرة. إلى جانب الكتب النادرة، يقدم المعرض مجموعاتٍ من المسكوكات المعدنية والطوابع والأوراق النقدية التي تحوي صوراً لمساجد، والتي حصلت عليها المكتبة من المركز القطري لهواة الطوابع والعملات على سبيل القرض. كما يوفر المعرض للزائرين فرصة فريدة للاستمتاع بتجربة ارسال بطاقة بريدية إلى الوطن، كما كان الحال في الماضي. لدينا مجموعة متنوعة من البطاقات البريدية تحتوي على صور مذهلة لمساجد شهيرة من جميع أنحاء العالم، وصندوق بريد وطوابع مجانية. ندعوكم لزيارة مكتبة متحف الفن الإسلامي في مركز التعليم للاستمتاع بهذا المعرض. ‎التوقيت: السبت - الخميس: 9 صباحاً - 7 مساءً, الجمعة: 1.30 - 7 مساءً The Mosque: Place & Time" exhibition takes you beyond Qatar, presenting a collection of striking images that depict famous mosques from various countries around the world. From Palestine to Syria, India to Spain, and many other countries, you will witness the distinctive architectural styles and cultural influences that shape these iconic places of worship. In addition to the rare books, the exhibition features an impressive display of coins, stamps, and banknotes which showcase images of mosques and are kindly on loan from the Qatar Philatelic & Numismatic Center. The exhibition also offers visitors with a unique opportunity to experience the joys of sending a postcard home, just like in the past. We have an assortment of postcards featuring stunning images of famous mosques from around the world, a postbox and free stamps. Visit MIA Library at MIA Education Center to enjoy this exhibition. توفي اليوم الدكتور طارق سويلم أستاذ الفن والعمارة الإسلامية بجامعة حمد بن خليفة فى قطر، بعد صراع طويل مع المرض الدكتور طارق سويلم رحمه الله من أكثر الناس المؤثرين والداعمين لمتحف الفن الإسلامي وقد تشرفنا بالعديد من زياراته مع الطلاب وكان له الفضل في تعليم العديد من موظفينا ومنهم محمود داري نرجو من الله أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ونساله الصبر والسلوان لعائلته الكريمة • Dr. Tarek Swelim, Professor of Art and Islamic Architecture at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, passed away today, after a long struggle with illness Dr. Tarek Swelim, was a great scholar and passionate teacher . The Museum of Islamic Art was honoured by his many visits with his students. He also was educating many employees, including Mahmood Dari We ask God to bless him with the abundance of his mercy, and we ask him patience and solace for his honorable family
