I’ve learned that it’s a career in an industry that doesn’t have the best reputation with the public. Most recently heard that *all* Realtors are blood-sucking, greedy vultures 🦅. | vul•ture — a contemptible person who preys on or exploits others. | Ouch. That sucked. Are ALL mortgage brokers one way? How about ALL teachers, police officers or ALL professional athletes? We’re not all the same! My profession shouldn’t be able to slap red tape all over who I am as a human being. Ohhh but people on the internet can be mean, y’all! It also sucked to realize that these people have had a bad enough experience in the past that they willingly project vile hate on a complete stranger. 😔 The whole thing is unfortunate. But we’re not here for pity. That’s showbiz baby! 🍿 . When Jason and I got into real estate we made a pledge to help people learn as much about real estate as possible. We aren’t afraid to call it like it is or pull back the curtain on this industry to help teach people about it. We pride ourselves on transparency and always thinking of the client first. They REVEL in seeing you suck. It makes them feel better to bring you down. (You know…to their level). The people with the biggest mouths take the smallest steps. And if you’ve felt this before - bullied, lied about or talked about. THOSE AREN’T YOUR PEOPLE. Sometimes that’s a hard truth. Maybe they are co-workers, friends, even family. But not all those “close” to you will clap when you win. Be weary of them. Those are the people who prefer to see you suck (like them). It can be hard to silence the haters. It can be hard to level up your life simply because you want a better one. People feel entitled to the version of you they feel more comfortable around. And that’s the cold hard truth. Once you’ve wrestled with negative feedback, and the unsolicited opinions of others & smack talk you never deserved… you realize pretty quickly that none of it matters because... Jason is too damn loud 😩😂 You know when you’re driving, trying to find an address and suddenly the music feels like it’s blasting! We turn it down (or off) so we can focus, right? I wish Jason had the same kind of volume control 😂. So I can turn his voice down (or off) when I’m trying to focus on something. LOL… I’m sure the feeling is mutual 😇 Having your own space in a home is more important than the attention we often give it. Especially after a stressful day when we need some peaceful alone time to relax and recharge. Our loved ones (who we love SO MUCH I feel like I need to reiterate this 😬) …They leave the fan buzzing in the washroom after they’re done. They watch videos loudly on their phone WHILE simultaneously “watching” a blaring television. They make phone calls with a voice projection that’ll be heard across a football field, while making sure to walk the entire square footage of where we live. The list goes on… Y’all hear me on this?!?🥲🥲 Luckily, we no longer share a bathroom. But I know from experience if you’re both running late, that’s where ALL the fighting start.
