Since 2012, Yi and Yanko, founders of YSTUDIO, would like to bring back the feel of “The Weight of Words” through their stationery. Their 10th anniversary pen “Classic Revolve Fountain Pen” has a hexagonal pen barrel, which is based on the shape of pencils, is made of solid brass. Collaborating with Jonathon Brooks, Leonardo Officina Italiana has introduced a new Primary Manipulation series for the Momento Zero Grande model: “Warm tones” limited edition fountain pen. Jonathon Brooks has mixed orange, yellow, red and white resins to create the pen body. As part of the material is translucent, the pen barrel faintly reveals the internal structure of the pen. Each is handcrafted in Naples, Italy and has a unique free-flowing pattern. “ Warm tones” is available in gold and silver trim. It comes with a German-made 14k-gold nib, ebonite feed and piston filler mechanism with 1.5ml ink capacity. The nib options are EF, F, M, B, Stub 1.1 and Elastic nibs (EF, F). Herbin Artists Creations Ink Collection － Kenzo Takada (Shogun) ｜｜時尚界傳奇｜｜ 高田賢三是時裝品牌KENZO的創辦人，同時是時尚界的傳奇人物。早在1960年代，他就隻身從日本前往巴黎定居，以大膽用色、大自然與和服風格震撼各大時裝品牌，成為首個立足時尚圈的亞洲設計師，其後更是將KENZO發展成國際知名的品牌。 2020年，年屆80的高田賢三創立家居和生活品牌「K三」（K3）。他希望為K三開發一款墨水，因此跟法國品牌 @herbininks 商討合作。可惜同年10月，高田賢三染疫逝世，無緣見證墨水面世。 ｜｜高田賢三聯名墨水｜｜ J. Kenzo Takada (1939 – 2020) was a famous Japanese fashion designer living in France. He founded Kenzo, the famed fashion brand of perfumes, skincare products, and apparels. His recognizable style combines multicultural inspirations with a distinct Japanese touch. In 2021, J. Herbin introduces the “Shogun” artists creations ink, a collaboration with Kenzo Takada. Sadly, Kenzo passed away on October 4th 2020, before the ink was launched. J. Herbin currently is producing the ink with Kenzo’s company “K3”. “Shogun” has a twilight color tone as based color, mixed with fine red and gold glitters. The ink is reminiscent of a beautiful night sky filled with stars and recalls the color and texture of the Japanese armors from the Shogun era. Kenzo was fond of this color. “Shogun” is currently available in 50ml size. You are invited to check out this ink and its swatches at our shop in Sham Shui Po. Presented by one of the top Japanese Maki-e masters Hyakusen Murata, Namiki Emperor “Carp on Waterfall” exemplifies the incredible beauty of Japanese Maki-e art. The Shishiai-Togidashi-Taka Maki-e technique has been used in the “Carp on Waterfall”. It is considered the highest class of the Maki-e artistry, which combines both Taka-Maki-e and Togidashi-Maki-e techniques. The design is made to bulge out of the pen surface as in the tradition of Taka Maki-e and then, the bulged sections where lacquer is applied are smoothened to form a smooth transition to the pen surface. Each “Carp on Waterfall” fountain pen takes more than three months to produce and process. It has a massive no.50-size 18K duotone gold nib (currently available in M size). The six corners of the pen barrel are finely polished. The pen comes with YSTUDIO's own proprietary nib. It is a soft and smooth steel nib, suitable for daily writing and calligraphy practice. Pilot Lady White fountain pen has an elegant and slim body. The pen barrel is made of solid brass and the surface is painted with beige lacquer. Maple leaf pattern is then painted with white lacquer. The pen comes with a high-quality 14k-gold nib, which is soft and smooth, suitable for daily writing. The nib options are F and M. The pen set also comes with a free pen case. In 1565, Swiss naturalist and bibliographer Conrad Gessner had created one of the earliest designs of pencil, which involves insertion of a lead into a tapering wooden split sleeve that holds the lead in place. Based on these sketches and Gessner's description, Cleo Skribent introduced the “Der Gessner” pencil in 2015. The pen barrel is handmade from pure local wood. It comes with a 2B 5.6mm lead, perfect for sketching and drawing. The pen set comes with a cutter, a leather sheath, a hemp string pencil case, matte paper and an eraser.
