Porto Velho

-It has been a while that I have been praising the importance of original peoples in my work. We are here in Porto Velho, Brazil, where in the next few days I will create a mural in which indigenous people and riverside dwellers will be showcased. In the next few days I will show my new mural here, which will be on a facade measuring 7 meters wide by 35 meters high. Long live the Brazilian people, with all our diversity!

—- Not everyone knows, but in addition to the murals you’re familiar with that are now spread across the streets of 36 different countries, I also paint canvases. These works can be found in many parts of the world, whether in private collections, galleries, or museums. It brings me great joy to have created eight exclusive canvases for an exhibition that will be on display until January 6th at the prestigious Palazzo Blu in Pisa, Italy. It’s a joy and an honor, as these works engage in a dialogue with the masterpieces of 20th-century art giants exhibited there, such as Dalí, Duchamp, Picasso, Mondrian, and others. If you happen to be in Italy or have plans to visit soon, do check it out. And, of course, let me know what you think! #art #streetart @palazzoblupisa

- The first car I had, which I acquired with great difficulty, was a 1969 Beetle that I bought at the beginning of the 1990s — it had several mechanical problems but it was a brave ally in my daily life. At that time I would never have imagined that 30 years later I would be painting a Porsche! Which, of course, I saw not as a blank canvas, but as a platform for my art. And it’s not just a Porsche: it’s an electric model, therefore compatible with the legitimate environmental concerns of our time. The brand will likely be a partner of our Kobra Institute and, together, we will promote actions for a better world. @porschebrasiloficial

- The year 2024 is approaching, marking the 850th anniversary of the beginning of the construction of the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the 460th anniversary of the birth of Galileo Galilei, the genius that Pisa gifted to humanity. In this mural, which I unveiled a few days ago in this historic Italian city, the astronomer is using a telescope shaped like the famous tower to observe the vastness of the universe. Galileo built his own telescope and pioneered the use of equipment for astronomical observation. He is recognized as the first to identify four natural satellites of Jupiter — Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto, called Galilean moons. - #Pisa #galileugalilei #streetart #art
