Hans de Kort

Hans de Kort makes ferrotypes, a 19th-century photographic technique. In a 16 x 20 inch view camera he exposes metal plates that have been prepared with light-sensitive collodion. The portraits are unique tintypes. The nostalgic, craft technique and the fact that the portrayed should concentrate at least five seconds to sit still, seems they look at us from another time and dimension.

Saskia IV Bédoin, 09.07.18 2002 my 🖤 Saskia was diagnosed with #breastcancer at her right breast. She had #mastectomy , #chemotherapy , #radiationtherapy and #hormonetherapy and a #diepflap breast reconstruction. Early 2018, fifteen years later Saskia’s breast cancer unfortunately returned. Hormone sensitive metastases were found in her stomach. It is the best of all bad scenarios. There is no cure yet, but hormone therapy does a good job. With every check-up at the oncologist, her blood values ​​appear to be better and better. ‘what’s comin’ will come and we’ll meet it when it does’ Hagrid “This quote fully reflects how I feel in life, you live it, you enjoy it. Joy, love and sorrow come your way. Looking back with regret, getting angry about things done doesn’t make much sense, it is ruining your life right now. The last of the Photographers? This project is a document that explores the future of photography, with a time frame of 10 years. The aim is to illuminate a wide range of aspects of photography, with an emphasis on different genres and applications. The project will tell the stories of 1000 photographers from diverse backgrounds and specializations, including portrait, advertising, fashion, art, news, sports and documentary photography. I’ll be capturing their work in action, focusing on their creative processes, challenges and inspiration. It will also examine the consequences of technological developments in photography, such as the shift from analogue to digital photography and the emergence of AI technologies. I will take a closer look at how photographers work and practice their art in the digital age and discuss the impact of AI on the creative process. In addition, I will map out the social consequences of these developments. I will explore the changing role of photography in advertising, fashion, art, journalism and documentary and discuss its impact on society. I will shoot in different locations to show the diversity of photography practice, including studios, streets, events and other relevant places. This project aims to paint a comprehensive and fascinating picture of the future of photography, with attention to artistic, technological and social aspects.
