I create a full lettering workbook in a different style every month on Patreon. Check out what you can download right now when you subscribe for $5 . There are about 300 pages there right now. Plus doodle, coloring, and planner pages too! www.patreon.com/gracecallidesigns ⁣ ⁣ Swipe to get a closer look at each of the styles. ⁣ ⁣ On a more personal note, I get very nervous about promoting my stuff, because I know most of you follow for my art videos. But I’m also aspiring to make art a full-time career, and it can be difficult. I started Patreon so I could keep things affordable, but also be able to provide tutorials and printables for everyone. So I hope you can check it out! Link in bio. ⁣25 is my magic number of subscribers this month 🤞🏼Edit: you’re all amazing! I’m only 8 away from my goal 🥰 ⁣ I’ll be back to my usual videos after this! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #lettering #handlettering #handwriting #typography #letteringsheets #letteringtutorials #handmadefont #goodtype #typespire #letterlover #brushlettering #typewriter #penmanship #artistsoninstagram

I’ve been on a short break here, which is always nice and refreshing. But whenever I go back, I sometimes think that Instagram has totally forgotten that my account exists 😅 ⁣ ⁣ Since I was half-watching Notting Hill today while working on my art, I thought I would change that speech from the movie a little bit to fit my situation. ⁣ ⁣ I know that some might see this as shallow and superficial, but showing my art here is a big part (not the only part) of how I am able to get projects, support, and jobs so I can continue to be a self-employed artist. ⁣ ⁣ Now about the lettering. I have been trying to practice my letter spacing and composition lately. This is my favorite way to practice it, but it can sometimes be frustrating because I never get it as straight and even as I want it to. But if you’re looking for a quick way to practice, try this method🖊 ⁣ ⁣ Pens used: Sakura Micron Fineliners ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #lettering #handlettering #algorithm #instagramalgorithm #sakuramicron #typography #goodtype #typespire #handmadefont #penmanship #handwriting #fineliners #handlettered #letterlover #artoftheday #artistsoninstagram

I can usually tell when I’m anxious because my morning coffee usually turns into the afternoon’s doodle piece. This time, I really wanted to try to draw an entire library of books, covering the entire cup. I also added a last minute cut-out window in the middle. Swipe to the next slides to see more videos and a closer look. ⠀ ⠀ This page is also a coloring page (along with lots of other stuff) that you can download if you subscribe to my Patreon starting at $1/month. You can cancel anytime. www.patreon.com/gracecallidesigns ⠀ ⠀ Materials used: Sakura Micron Fineliners, Faber Castell Pitt Brush Pens, and a Starbucks cup. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #doodle #drawing #illustration #starbuckscup #starbucks #coffee #library #books #bookworm #micron #fineliners #artoftheday #artistsoninstagram #drawing #micronfineliners #sakurapens #coffeecup #modernillustration #penandink #designspiration #coloringbook #adultcoloringbook #coloringpage #designspiration #artwork @starbucks #starbuckscupart #starbucksart

I never really paid attention to this phrase very much. It seemed like one of those phrases that has been repeated so many time, it has lost all meaning. But after watching Season 2 of The Bear and seeing how they included it in the narrative, it put things in a different perspective for me. Once in a while, I try to find the joy in making art again when everything I create feels stagnant and boring. Lately, I’ve been really enjoying lettering in this style. I love figuring out how to add flourishes to block letters and trying to balance them out. If you are interested, I have some practice word workbooks of this style on Patreon. Link in bio. Playing around with letters and mixing inks. I definitely consider myself as an introvert, painfully shy even. But weirdly enough, a few people have said that I’m more extroverted than I think. Although I’ve been silent here for almost two weeks, it’s been pretty chaotic behind the scenes. I needed to take some time and attended to family emergency. I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things. Thank you for your support and for hanging around even when I didn’t have any new stuff to post. I’ll be back to making new videos again soon ❤️ Materials used: Stabilo Brush Pen and Vellum Paper #lettering #chaos #handlettering #typography #stabilo #brushlettering #artistsoninstagram #handwriting #cursive #brushpens #calligraphy #goodtype #doodle #artreels

Currently dealing with a bunch of different challenges right now and I keep needing to remind myself of this. Also my last attempt to remind you that my 40% off workbook sale is ending soon! I have decided to overhaul my shop and update my current workbooks, so they will be completely changed by December. Link in bio as usual. Thank you for reading reading! The think I hate the most about being an artist for me personally, is having to sell art. 😂 Materials used: Glass Pen and the result of some leftover Royal Rhubarb transitioning into Central Oark Green. I have a lot of illustrations I want to make into stickers, shirts, and accessories. This design is one of my favorite ones that sends a clear message. Although to be honest, if you ever see me out in the wild, I would be excited to lend you a pen! Choosing which one is the difficult part. I am changing things up and overhauling my online stores at the end of the year to include more physical items. My current workbooks are currently 40% off until the end of May. Then they will be replaced in December. ⁣ While I figure things out in the meantime, you can check out the link in my bio for digital workbooks, Patreon goodies, and my soon to be released book! ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #lettering #handlettering #procreate #merch #goodtype #typespire #doodle #drawing #illustration #artoftheday #comic #artistsoninstagram #letteringtutorial #artsupplies

I sometimes try to cheer myself up by adding little ghosties in my letters 👻 and it works for a little bit. But then I get sad again, which means I doodle even more tiny ghosts until my house is spooky all year round. Materials used: Blue Yosemite Falls ink from @ferriswheelpress and a glass pen from @artventure If you want to try out the ink, you can use my code GRACECALLI. I get a small commission if you use it. #ghost #spooky #doodle #drawing #illustration #handlettering #typewriter #ferriswheelpress #fwp #glasspen #lettering #typography #artreels #artistsoninstagram

Today is my birthday, which is also the one day of the year I post a picture of myself on Instagram to say hi! I mostly just show my hand here, but sometimes I want to confirm that there’s a face behind my little videos 😄 Although this photo was taken a couple of years ago, I still wore the same outfit for my Eurovision/birthday party yesterday. I am eternally grateful that I get to make art for a living. So a huge, gigantic thank you to everyone who has generously supported me and my art here. Marketing/advertising is something I don’t really do well, but since I am literally putting myself out there, here are some other ways you could support my work: 🎂 I have my very first published lettering book coming out in September and you can pre-order it on the link in my bio. 🎂My current PDF workbooks are 40% off because I will be completely replacing them at the end of the year and overhauling my shop. Link in bio too. 🎂You can support me on Patreon where I upload lots of lettering, doodle, and coloring workbooks plus a font every month (starting at $1). You guessed it, link is also in bio. 🎂Check out the last slide to see my beautiful birthday cake this year 😍 No link, just yummy cake. #birthday #lettering #doodle #letteringworksheets #etsysale
