Misty Copeland

Last night was a moment I’ll carry with me forever. After 25 years with American Ballet Theatre, I took my final bow surrounded by the company and community that have shaped my life and career. I’m deeply honored to continue my connection to ABT as a member of the Board of Trustees—supporting the next generation of dancers and storytellers who will lead this art form forward. And possibly most special of all, this was the first time my son, Jackson, saw me dance on stage.

The warmest welcome ❤️❤️❤️ Crazy it’s been over 5 years! Let’s do this @abtofficial 🩰

Ten years since being promoted to Principal Dancer with @abtofficial. A decade of pushing boundaries, honoring those who came before me, and dancing for every little girl who didn’t see herself in this world until she did.

Sensitive skin has taught me that gentle doesn’t mean weak. My Superkind ritual from @tataharperskincare delivers real relief and resilience, with natural formulas that truly perform. Super gentle. Super powerful. #tataharper_partner #AD

This year, we’re building sustainable routines! 🤍 #partner @naturemadevitamins So grateful to have been a part of the No Resolutions Required panel with #NatureMade. Our conversation was all about consistency, collaboration, and of course…vitamins. *Based on a survey of pharmacists who recommend branded vitamins and supplements.

Black history in dance is not a footnote. It is foundational. Celebrating the artists whose vision, strength, and presence continue to shape the future of ballet and beyond. 🖤 1. Calvin Royal III 2. Frances Jimenez, Delores Browne, Alice Mayes 3. Raven Wilkinson 4. Brooklyn Mack 5. Joan Myers Brown, Mary Johnson 6. Arthur Mitchell 7. Janet Collins 8. Lorraine Graves, Keith Saunders 9. Harper Watters 10. Judith Jamison

This weather calls for caviar and best friend time ❄️

I hear 2016 is making a comeback

This year brought a lot of transition, finishing one chapter, starting others. I wrapped my last season at ABT, continued building new creative projects, and poured into my family and the work I care about. Grateful for where this year brought me, and steady for what’s ahead.

Happy holidays from my 3-year-old personal photographer and me!

@oprah and I first met weeks before my farewell gala to record this beautiful conversation, and now it’s finally out. Having her then speak at the gala made the night even more meaningful. It’s been a gift to reflect on closing this chapter and stepping into what’s next. 🤍
