This fish has a cool story…Mr. Jay landed this fish last week and was a recapture #BTT11789. We had previously tagged this fish 2 years and 4 months ago and was 27”. We recaptured the fish within a couple hundred yards of where it was originally tagged. The fish has grown 7” in a little over two years and was 34” when we measured him. Permit are creatures of habit and will spend months if not a years visiting the same feeding ground. Maybe why they are tough as they are knowing you may be targeting the same group of fish each time you pole the flat, and why we need to protect those habitats they frequent and call home! . . . . #permitfishing #bttrecapture #btt11789 #belizefishing @bonefishtarpontrust @coastalzonebz @addieluperez
