What motivates me in the last couple of months? This is a very good question🤔 Like every student at the middle of the year, I feel tired and exhausted. There are so many tasks, they are all different and sometimes I just want to give up😪 But I remind myself that it was my choice! I chose to study and get a specialty! For someone, the path to a dream requires a longer investment of time and effort, for someone less, but the fact remains. It is a matter of choice and decision! Motivation comes from awareness and following the path I have chosen, because this is my path and it is unique! ✨ I tell myself everyday that this study is an important stage in my life that needs to be overcome. And the subjects that are taught to me at the moment are critically important, as they will affect my future career and the skills necessary to advance and find a job in my specialty👩🏻‍🎓 I look to the future, doing my best in the present. I enjoy the process of today, overcoming difficulties and improving myself every day✨ After all, study, no matter how difficult it is at times, leaves its mark, and the events that took place a day, a week, a month earlier evoke a smile and warm memories. Therefore, no matter how difficult it is now, in the future it will bear fruit, and memories of the work done and the path traveled will warm the soul☺️ Live and enjoy the learning process, no matter how difficult it may seem, because it's your choice! Little over a month ago, New Zealand welcomed our very first international students in over 2 and half years. These pictures were taken during a welcoming dinner hosted by the Canterbury Malaysian Students Association. 😍

New Zealand is progressively reopening its borders in 2022, ready for a new start in 2023. Hi everyone, it's Gabe here. How has your 2022 been going so far?🙂 I'm about to show you my school's library, one of my favourite places I use for studying. This building opened for students to use halfway through last year! It is called the Lander centre to honour our previous headmaster who retired from the position last year, Mr Grant Lander! This building has a very modern style and feels chill to work in. I feel very relaxed whenever I stay in there and allows me to concentrate more on my work! 🧠💭 The Lander centre is usually used for study period by senior students (year 11-13) like me and for some of the classes like computer sciences and computer applications. I am originally from the southern part of China. Before I came to New Zealand, I had some experience to be an intern-journalist in a Chinese news program and some study experience in Los Angeles. As a newcomer, I feel that I’m fully supported all the time. Lecturers from uni are very keen on helping you. Volunteers will always guide you with enthusiasm on campus. What’s more, there are tons of workshops, activities, and opportunities that you can access easily to engage with the community and prepare for future careers. Hey everyone! My name is Gunt Pinvanichkul, but you can call me Gabe. I am originally from Thailand🇹🇭 where I grew up knowing little to no English. I came to New Zealand since 2018 as a year 9 international student at St Paul's Collegiate School in Hamilton. I am currently a year 13 student and looking to get into Otago University in Dunedin to study Health Science First Year (HSFY). Life in New Zealand has given me many challenges to overcome not only academicly but also in sports. I chose New Zealand because it is a great opportunity for me to explore the world and gain experience I would never get in Thailand. My English improved along with my journey in NZ so don't worry if you can only speak a little bit of English and want to study here because people in New Zealand are very friendly and they will help you out if you need! I experienced many different things such as my school's 6 month outdoor program which includes many activities like white water kayaking, mountain biking, tramping etc. I have also got to play sports I never knew existed like squash which ended up being my favourite sport.😅 Just some tips from me, take every opportunities that are presented to you because time flies. 5 years of my life in Secondary school felt like just a blink so try make the most out of it. My specific and only goal for coming to New Zealand is to improve my English skill but after I’ve been staying here for a while I realised that New Zealand is a wonderful country. High school in New Zealand gave me opportunities to do some various things that I’ve never achieved in my hometown. The environments in the school such as classrooms are propitious for learning. I’m glad that I came to this country. 😁 My first impression about the New Zealand was people. People in New Zealand are very nice and Friendly. They helped me with everything I was suffered.
