🥇🎉 A Million Passports, A Million Stories Passport to Earning (#P2E), a phy-gital learning initiative crossed a million learners in India with #YuWaah and partners! This means that over a million young people, of which 62% are adolescent girls and young women from disadvantaged backgrounds, accessed learning and skilling opportunities at no cost over digital and in-person models, enabling them towards better economic opportunities and financial independence.  Marking the International Day of the Girl Child (#IDG2023), it was a privilege to have young girls from different states of India, sharing their stories and experiences of building digital and financial literacy through P2E courses. We were thrilled to celebrate this milestone with Shri Sanjay Kumar (Secretary, @eduminofindia), Dr. Krishna Kumar Dwivedi, (Additional Secretary, MSDE), Shri Nitesh Kumar Mishra (Joint Secretary, @yasministryindia), Kevin Frey (CEO, @genunlimited at @unicef), Cynthia McCaffrey (UNICEF Representative to India), Dhuwarakha Sriram, Chief of Yuwaah, Youth Development and Partnerships at UNICEF, and young girls - Prashansa Uniyal from Uttarakhand, Shimti Mary Jana Nongbet from Meghalaya, Muskaan from Bihar, and Kahkashan Khatokn from Delhi, who are an integral part of the P2E journey. It was our pleasure to receive encouraging messages from our founding partner representatives, namely Jill Huntley (Accenture), Kate Behncken (Microsoft Philanthropies) and Ashwin Yardi (Capgemini India). "World Environment Health Day" is a key moment for us to remind ourselves of the importance of environmental health and the actions we need to take towards conservation. This significant day aligns with the United Nations @unitednations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) @sdgaction , highlighting our commitment to a sustainable future. I am thrilled to share photos that depict my recent involvement in environmental advocacy activities.🌿 At youth conferences, I emphasized the importance of environmental awareness and urged young individuals to actively engage in #ClimateChange mitigation. Through cleanup activities, I contributed to maintaining the cleanliness of our surroundings, while advocating for ground water conservation (#AtalBhujal) and involving local community and women in groundwater conservation initiatives at the Grampanchayat level. Participating in intergenerational dialogue, I had the opportunity to speak about Green Skills for a sustainable future at the #ImPactWithYouth podcast. I was honored to have United Nations Resident Coordinator in India, Mr. Shombi Sharp and fellow youth advocate Mohammad Siraj join me for this insightful conversation.
