He holds a Master of Fine Art from the University of Art and Design in Genève, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Genève and a Bachelor in Art History from Université de Neuchâtel. He has exhibited at galleries and museums across Europe, The United States, Asia and The Middle East. His art is featured in prominent collections like UBS (CH), Pizzuti Collection (US), Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (CH), Fonds Municipal d’Art Contemporain (CH), Vejle Kunstmuseum (DK), Singapore Art Foundation (SG), Wellington Management Company Collection (GB), Crédit Suisse, Zürich (CH), Bank Julius Bär (CH), Lego Group (DK) and many others. Thierry Feuz’ artistic vision sees a unique visualization of science mixed with dynamic and colorful formal innovation. The exhibition, which consists of new paintings, sculptures and works on paper, can be experienced at Bredgade 75 in Copenhagen until May 26th 2023.⏰ Thierry Feuz’ art is not only a depiction of the different levels of scale of the universe as seen through the eyes of science. By organizing his abstract organisms in bouquet-like formations, often endowing them with green tails and leaf-like textures, Thierry Feuz makes us doubt whether we are actually looking at a contemporary flower painting. It is like looking at the famous optical illusion, the Rubin Vase: Either you see two faces facing each other, or you see the vase that the negative space between them makes up. Likewise with Theirry Feuz’ paintings; one moment you see colorful germs and microbes, the next you see a beautiful modern bouquet of flowers. But maybe, the fabulous flowers are not as incompatible with the frankness of science as it seems. Since flower painting as a genre became popular during the 17th century, one of the main purposes of depicting an array of different flowers has always been to contain the manifold aspects of the known world within the borders of the canvas. By depicting different of species of flowers from all over the world, and by depicting birds, reptiles and insects, the classical flower painting aims to contain as many references to the complete world view of its time as possible. Therry Feuz - Purple Atlas Renaissance ✨💜 From the largest galaxies to tiny atoms and quarks, Thierry Feuz’ art takes us on a colorful journey into the world of microorganisms. The subject of ‘Purple Atlas Renaissance’ hail from the invisible world of bacteria, germs and other microorganisms that surrounds us at all times. Swimming around with their long, filamentous tails, the abstract microorganisms intermingle in a kaleidoscopic vision of color, pattern and texture, mimicking the view through a microscope. SOLO SHOW: MAINTAINING PERMEABILITY – ON CIRCULAR PERFORATING. Julien Deiss reinterprets neoclassical sculptures in his works, and combining abstraction and figuration, creates an innovative visual expression. You can experience his newest paintings, sculptures, installations and works on paper at Bredgade 75 from the 3rd of February to the 3rd of March 2023. Julien Deiss (b. 1983) is a German-French artist who lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. He holds a Master of Fine Arts, having studied at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, École supérieure d’arts de Brest and The University of Lund, with teachers such as Siegfried Anzinger, Markus Lüpertz and Reinhold Braun. He has exhibited at galleries across Europe and in Australia and has participated in numerous solo shows in Denmark as well as in Germany at galleries like Von Fraunberg Gallery, bb-Contemporary, FFFZ Kulturforum and Galerie Schloss Neersen. JULIEN DEISS - “SPRING” 💜💚 In this work, Deiss reinterprets one of the most famous ancient sculpture, the Laocoön and His Sons. For him the simplicity of white marble scupltures are often serving as an empty canvas ready to be filled with novel reflections. ARTIST OF THE WEEK – EKIN SU KOÇ   We are excited to announce that Ekin Su Koç’s works will be part of the upcoming show HELLO BODY opening on February 3. 🙌🏼 Ekin Su Koç is an artist whose multilayered works are inspired by nature and human psychology. Her collages consist of different materials such as cut-outs from fashion magazines, traditional Turkish nomadic patterns, dried flowers and expressive hand-painted surfaces that become fragmented parts of a body. In her own artistic way, Ekin combines traditional motifs and images from modern mass culture to create a visual representation of the multicultural contrasts and coexistence that make up life. Her works are ambiguous and expressive, reflecting the different cultures and identities that make up her own background.    In her œuvre, we find a recurring interpretation of Venus, associated with the concept of femininity and female identity, and with the power of attraction and desire. In recent years, Venus has also been used as a symbol for women's rights and the feminist movement, representing the idea of female empowerment and the breaking down of traditional gender roles. In her series "A Portrait for Herself / Re-Birth of Venus" she reinterprets the classical subject of the birth of Venus, as independent feminine identities that exist for themselves, rather than to satisfy the male gaze as seen in Renaissance and Baroque.
 Ekin Su Koç lives and works in Berlin. The multi-cultural diversity of Koç’s Œuvre is echoed in her education, which includes a BA from Mimar Sinan Fine Art University, an MFA from Isik University, and an MA in painting from the University of Seville. Her works have been shown in solo exhibitions in Denmark, Germany, and Turkey, as well as at international art fairs in Miami and New York.   1.
