It’s officially market season! We are thrilled to be participating in the Sidney Night Market this year! Bring your clean empty bottles and containers to the Sidney Night Market each Thursday night in June between 5:30 and 8:30pm to fill up on all the essentials for housecleaning and body or hair care. Due to space and transportation limitations we will not be able to offer our entire refill menu at the market but we will have the most popular items including: ✅ Dish Soap ✅ Laundry Liquid ✅ Laundry Powder ✅ Dishwasher Powder ✅ Shampoo ✅ Conditioner ✅ Body wash We’ll also have a range of plastic free and reusable products including dish soap brushes and pot scrubbers, Swedish dish cloths, bamboo toothbrushes, organic cotton tea towels and African baskets. This year the market is being held in the parking lot behind the Mary Winspear Centre. Bring the family and make an event of it! Enjoy live music, food trucks and local artisans and make sure you come visit our tent! We’ll be in the centre row!

Delivery to your door! No, really, the system is working now! 🫣😬 Were you having trouble placing an order online? This morning I found out there was a glitch in our online order/delivery system that was preventing people anywhere outside of Sooke from placing delivery orders for the last couple weeks! I had no idea! Honestly, I just sort of thought a lot of people were upset with my decision to move location and were no longer supportingWest Coast Refill as a result! 😰 I really hope this is not the case and it was the glitch instead!! 😲 Please please if you ever have difficulty placing an order reach out and let me know, via DM or email and I will take your order over the phone and make sure you get what you need! Don’t forget you will also have an opportunity to fill your own bottles with our more essential household cleaning products and shampoo at the Sidney Night Market, each Thursdays night in June.

Its’s our final day in Broad Street! Stop by and stock up while you can! It’s going to be a little while yet before our new space is ready to move into. I’m feeling incredibly nostalgic today! It’s crazy to look back on how far we have come since I first opened my doors in a tiny little space hidden in China Town’s Dragon Alley, only to move to Broad Street, a space five times the size, less than nine months later. Now another four years have flown by and our lease has expired. As lovely as this heritage building is, it is doesn’t easily meet our needs for heat, hot water and electric all, plus planned construction on our block made me make the difficult decision not to renew the lease. We will be reopening in Langford early this summer. Stay tuned for more information, but in the meantime we offer online orders with local delivery to your door and we will be popping up in a community near you with local markets and events. Have you heard the news? If you receive our newsletter you already are in the know! 📣We are moving! 📣 Our current lease on Broad Street is expiring on April 30th. I had to make the difficult decision not to re-sign and get locked in to another five years. Our final day of operations in the current location will be April 24th. When I took over this space there weren’t many other options available in my budget and no retail space what so ever in the Westshore at the time. At first it wasn’t too bad. The location we are in was built in 1892, and as beautiful as the exposed brick is, it is quite literally crumbling. Of course no where in my business plan did I anticipate a global pandemic. We are restricted in our abilities at this location due to limited electrical outlets and access to hot water (we wash a LOT of bottles and jars!) There have been issues with the fire alarms and leaks coming through our ceiling from residents above. Very soon there will be major demolition and rebuilding of the Duck Building directly across the street which will block access to parking and traffic. Already we hear from our customers how difficult it is to come downtown due to construction blocking roads, lack of parking and concerns over safety during protests and other events. Our goal is to reopen in Belmont Market in Langford, early this summer. This plaza has ample parking, EV charging stations, access to buses and even backs onto the Galloping Goose for those of you cycling. However, it is currently en empty concrete shell and needs a full build out which requires time and a significant investment. Already I am blown away by the number of positive emails and direct messages from those of you excited to see coming to Langford (an area much in need of small independent retailers, especially those focused on environmentally conscious living!) I am eternally grateful for those of you who have supported me since day one and will do my best to improve our home delivery options so that you can still refill all your cleaning products with ease while we are in hiatus before reopening. In the mean time, you have until April 24th to stock up at the Broad St location!
