The hardest part is adding 2 cups of wine and dinner is ready in 20 minutes. We have 2 options of buckets that can feed 2 or 4 people. Add extras to customize your meal and feed more people. Now open and taking orders for this Thursday Friday & Saturday. Our pick up spot is 2675 Arbutus St in Kitsalano. Select your bucket of choice and lock in your pick up day (every Thurs/Fri & Sat) than proceed to pay and we will have your bucket ready for you available for pick up from 10am-6pm. To be the best you need the right tools 🦪🗡 We shuck more oysters than we can count and go through more knifes than we can afford. Most knifes on the market are designed for shucking big & flat East Coast oysters. All of them sporting unwieldy 3 inch blades, they’ve never been right for small & delicate pacific oysters. We spend too much time cutting and shaping our blades to make the knives we wish we had. Knives that worked best for our way of shucking and one that would truly honour the pacific oyster we love so much. Fast forward to meeting Jake and Ryan of Leechtown Blacksmiths. Two guys who make the finest cookware and know what ‘lifetime tools’ is all about. Something you take care of and pass down to your kids. Like the time that was..a heirloom tool. We jumped to work with these guys. They gave us a knife that is built for our specifications and is an absolute weapon. Shucking oysters on the perfect every time. Why would we ever use anything else? The best tool for the job… So ya we’re beyond excited to be collaborating with @leechtownblacksmithco to design an oyster knife that would make your grandpa proud 🥲 Each knife is methodically crafted by hand and full of amazing details. 🗡Hand forged Norwegian steel 🪵Laburnum handle 🐚New Zealand Paua shell 🤿Wandering Mollusk stamp And most importantly weighted and designed for our way of shucking. This knife pictured is a prototype we have been using for the last month as we’ve taking it through the paces shucking 1000’s of oysters… and what a piece of kit it has been. Perfect shucks all around. As we go into a very limited and time consuming production (crafters got to craft) we will be adding brass boosters to the handle which will protect the wood more efficiently. Yes, we will be selling these blades. We are currently taking orders now if interested. The cost reflects the craftsmanship as they retail for $225. We will provide aftercare instructions.
