3 years ago at this time of night I was on could nine calling my mom and dad to tell them I had been approved for my second gym in just 4 weeks as I had out grown my very first space that I had only opened 4 weeks earlier. Life felt so good. I felt so proud, so happy, so accomplished. Never in a million years did I think my entire world would crumble beneath me hours later. At 3:33 in the morning tomorrow it’ll have been 3 years since I’ve heard your voice. 3 years since I’ve hugged you, since I’ve felt truly happy, since my days haven’t felt like they were just going by, since I truly smiled and felt full happiness. They say time helps, heals, and eases pain, but dad I hurt more and more everyday. I can honestly say a huge piece of me died and has never been the same. Life goes on? You should still be happy, and LIVE? But how..how can that happen when the biggest part of ME died? You’re the ONE person in this world that understood every aspect of who I am. The stubborn, hard-headed, won’t lose sleep if you don’t like me, move on or move out of my way, bold personality that we had. Most people don’t understand exactly who I am. I’m not always a crowd favorite because of my bigger than life self and I sometimes now feel lost in this world without you. I knew I could always turn to you to tell me like it is. You would always re assured me even if it wasn’t the exact re assurance I wanted. You always made me feel like I wasn’t crazy, and our minds were okay even if we thought different from everyone else. There isn’t anything in this world I wouldn’t give to spend 30 seconds with you dad. I know you know how much I love you, I KNOW you’re with me daily in my heart. There isn’t a day that I don’t talk to you, look up to you and have guidance from you but it isn’t the same. It won’t ever be the same.

Decided after I don’t know maybe 2 years of not doing a SERIOUS hardcore leg day I’d push myself to see if I could do what I used to. Not mad about today’s session either! 21 sets of squats; yes 21 SETS Warm up with 45’s -135lbs 10 squats 1 set Add 45’s - 225 lbs 3 sets of 10 drop to 35’s & 45’s - 205 lbs 3 sets of 10 Drop to 25’s &45’s- 185 lbs 3 sets of 10 Drop back down to 135 lbs for 2 more sets of 10 Do singles at 135 lbs left leg 3 sets of 10 Right leg 3 sets of 10 And sumos 3 sets of 10 Ends up being 210 squats on the bar at the different weight sets.
