Nothing is more comforting than tucking into a bowl of hot soup on after a long, stressful day of work! Try this super comforting sliced fish soup that I prepared using the Ling Slice from @haisiaseafood. Hubby approved and commented that it tastes better than some of the store bought one! Ingredients: 1 Litre Chicken Broth 200g Ling Fish, Sliced from @haisiaseafood 1 Box of Tofu, cut into big cubes 1 Medium Tomato, cut into quarters 1 Stalks of Spring Onion, cut into sections 2 Slices of Ginger ½ Teaspoon Light Soy Sauce ½ Teaspoon Cornflour Dash of Ground Pepper How to do it: 1. Rinse, pat dry and lightly season the fish with cornflour, pepper and light soy sauce. 2. Heat up a non-stick pan/pot with 1 tablespoon olive oil and sauté ginger and spring onion till fragrant. 3. Pour in Chicken Broth and bring to boil for 2 minutes. 4. Toss in fish slices, tomato wedges and tofu. Simmer on medium heat for 1½ minutes. 5. Winding down with our @dreamegglife White Noise Machine - D3 Pro, which we play during bedtime to get the kids to calm down and cultivate a soothing environment and sleepy mood. This cordless, rechargeable noise machine boasts 29 sounds of crisp sound quality, including 7 white noise sounds, 7 fan sounds, and 15 nature sounds (e.g. Bird, Sea Wave, Lullaby, Rain, Pendulum, Train, Shushing etc). MADRAS CURRY from @mayakaimalfoods @wholesomeharvestsg is absolutely a curry jar that you have to keep at your pantry. It is so delicious with it’s unique zesty flavour. The flavors of black pepper and coriander are balanced with aromatic coconut milk and curry leaves. If you would ask me to compare it with one of the type of curry that we have in Singapore..... the taste is near to the fish curry (that tastes a little sour), but the texture is thicker and the coconut and coriander taste is stronger. I made quick chicken curry with this sauce. Panfry chicken drumstick till fully cooked and crisp and brown on the skin, and drizzle the Madras Curry sauce on the chicken on the pan. Simmer for 10 mins and serve it with panfry frozen prata. It tastes totally divine! I’m going to keep a few jar of this at my pantry from now on. Wholesome meal and easy to cook, 𝗣𝗮𝗻-𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝘆. 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁 portion I got it from @haisiaseafood. No fishy taste and this meal is best served with steamed rice 🍚. 𝗣𝗮𝗻-𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝘆 Ingredients: * 240g @haisiaseafood 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁 Portion, sliced to bite size * 1 tbsp corn starch * Ginger, cut into thin strips * Chopped Spring onions * Vegetable oil 𝕊𝕒𝕦𝕔𝕖 * 2 tbsp light soy sauce * 2 tbsp water * 1 tbsp brown sugar * 1 tsp sesame oil * Ground white pepper Instructions: 1. Add corn starch & coat the 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁 fish fillet, set aside 2. Mix all the sauce ingredients, until sugar is melted, set aside 3. Heat the non-stick pan (I’m using @cosmiccookwaresg pan), once hot add oil and stir-fry it. Once it’s light brown remove & set-aside. 4. After, pan fry the 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁 fish fillet to golden brown, flip to another side to cook. 5. Once cooked, Add in sauce mixture to the fish. As soon as it boils turn off the heat and dish out to plate. 6. Most of the time, lemons are sold in 5s at supermarkets. So in order to not waste my 🍋, I’ll extract the juice and freeze it for later use. I still recall I did not get the chance to extract my store bought 🍋before I went into labour for my precious first born.
