Warning Wound Care Progress of a Surgical Wound. Do not swipe if you do not do well with surgery photos!! Pic 1: Day 1 when the incision came open. Pic 2: Day 1 after hospital & clean up of incision. Pic 3: Today! 1 month & 1 week after wound care. 1 week daily wound dressing changes, 3 weeks on a large wound vac & almost 1 week with a pico wound vac! @cranects

Was lucky today & got swapped from the large wound vac to this lil pico. If you remember pagers… it’s about that size & has a belt clip! Lol

Warning!!! Woundcare Update! Don’t look if you are squeamish. May 11 until Today. Hoping to have a Pico (small vac with not cords or bulky machine) soon! But in a month it looks pretty darn good!

Woundcare Progress Pics. If you don’t like surgery pics don’t swipe. This is from the morning that it split to today. Roughly 2.5 weeks.

This is my new “best friend” for the next while. Everyday, all day for I’m not sure how long I will have this fancy carrying case with a Negative Pressure Wound Vacuum connected to my leg. This is to keep the wound dry, it will heal rapidly faster than leaving it open & it has way less chance of infection vs healing open. Also, I will only need to go to wound care every 3 days vs everyday. It also make a consistent noise & needs to be charged let’s hope I don’t try to get up & walk while I’m charging!! Lol @cranects

Introducing my new sidekick… my negative pressure wound vacuum. This should speed healing & keep the area safe from infection. And instead of having to go to wound care appointments everyday & set up rides for myself for that on top of other things I will go every 3 days. I’ll post more pics & info once I’ve had sometime with it. Not sure how long I will have it for atm.
