Food Decoded is a YouTube channel where Yemi shares free, evidence-based nutrition advice to help the Black adults reset their relationship with food, break free from fad diets, lose weight, keep it off and live healthy. Yemi is a Public Health Nutritionist and Food Technologist with 20 years food industry experience. When she embarked on her weight loss journey in 2018, it was incredibly difficult to find tailored support, resources or information for the African taste palette, cuisines or the needs of the black population generally. She had to rely on her nutrition knowledge as a Food professional to create her meal plans and healthy, nutritious and delicious weight loss recipes tailored to her taste palette and around her traditional Nigerian cuisines.
