This roulette wheel cake takes “playing with your food” to a whole new level! Seriously, I don’t think I’ve have this much fun making a cake in a long time! And maybe because it’s not just a cake, but a full on game!! All you need to make this cake is: A 12” round cake Buttercream Red, green, black and white fondant Number cutters Chocolate coins You’ll also need a cake turntable and a gumball! Once the cake is decorated, it’s time to play! You’ll serve the cake on the turntable - give it a spin, then throw the gum ball on it . The slice that the gumball lands on is the slice you (or your guest) get. The “winning “ slice has a chocolate coin inside! This is the perfect cake to make for a games night, or a casino-lover’s birthday! Will you give this cake a spin? Real Talk Where have I been? I’ve been waiting for the right time to update you all on where I’ve been the last 6 months and today, being Mother’s Day, seems like the perfect time. Because... where I’ve been, has a lot to do with my mom. ❤️ My mother was first diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2020 (what a year), but in the last year it’s sadly gotten much worse. I am grateful for the fact that she still remembers me, as things can change at any moment with this disease. I’ll try my best to get back to baking and sharing, but my #1 priority right now is my family, and sorting through my living grief. I thank you all- my cherished How To Cake It family. I am very proud of all the cake joy I have had the pleasure of sharing with you over the last 10 years! I hope you understand that when I get quiet on here, it just means I’m navigating “real life” out there. I will try to share more of myself with you outside of just cake. As it may be helpful for those of you going through similar life changes and journeys. Today is a beautiful day to celebrate, but for some of us, it’s a very difficult day too. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! I hope you have a lovely day. ❤️
