Miracle happens when you have the ability to embrace not only the good but, most importantly, the worse . Life is a journey filled with ups and downs, joys and sorrows, triumphs and challenges. It’s easy to celebrate the good times and be grateful for the blessings that come our way. But true miracles happen when we learn to embrace the not-so-pleasant moments as well. The bad times test our resilience, strength, and character. They teach us valuable lessons and help us grow into better versions of ourselves. It’s during these difficult times that we discover our inner strength, find new perspectives, and learn to appreciate the beauty in every situation. Embracing the bad doesn’t mean ignoring or denying the pain. It means acknowledging it, allowing ourselves to feel it, and then finding the courage to rise above it. It’s about accepting that life isn’t always perfect, and that’s okay. When we embrace the bad/extreme, we open ourselves up to endless possibilities. We become more compassionate, empathetic, and understanding towards others who are going through their own struggles. We learn to find strength in vulnerability and discover the beauty of resilience. It took me 40 years of hardwork, dedication , endless sacrifices , commitment , blood sweat and tears to be the person who I’m today . I cherish the lessons learned and the growth I have achieved. The mission is on. It’s been over five months since we lost our dear Anna and Mingmar on Shishapangma. In that time we have experienced immense grief but also reflected on precious memories we shared together and now so deeply treasure. Now I am heading back with my team to Shishapangma to retrieve our loved ones - Anna & Mingmar. Until this point, the repatriation process has been incredibly challenging. We had managed to bring Anna and Mingmar down to Camp 2 last year, so they were protected from the higher elements for the repatriation, but the biggest hurdle was gaining the full permission to bring them home. We bared the expenses to make this happen, and now, with permission from the CTMA and TMA we are ready to go back to their known location at camp 2 and bring them home to reunite them with their families and loved ones. Collectively the US Government, Nepalese Embassy in Beijing and NMA have worked closely with the team to secure permits and we have recently been informed our application will be accepted; we will begin the repatriation in April. We are immensely grateful to CTMA, TMA, and the Chinese Government for allowing us to bring Anna and Mingmar back to their families and loved ones This mission is special to me. Anna & Mingmar, I miss you both so much. Your laughter and spirits were infectious, and I thank you for the memories we share; they will live on with us each time we climb. Special thanks to everyone working behind the scenes to make this happen, and a big thank you to the CTMA & TMA for allowing us to make this happen.

Introducing the incredibly talented Extreme High Altitude Cameraman and my Brother, @phurba_sonam_sherpa We have been on quite the journey together and I couldn’t be prouder of how he has grown and developed as a photographer and videographer. When Sonam joined the @eliteexped team back in 2019, he had yet to conquer any 8,000-meter peaks. However, today, I couldn’t be prouder to see him complete an incredible 13 x 8,000-meter shoots, with a total summit count of 18 x 8,000 meter peaks. Throughout, Sonam has shown dedication and commitment to his training, both as a climber, guide and videographer. His work can be seen in the film Finding Michael, and he is currently working on a top-secret project – trust me, you will be blown away when you see it! We have shared so many breath-taking moments together, but our recent summit of Makalu was an emotional one. I still can’t believe he managed to fly the drone on the summit. Congratulations on your remarkable accomplishments brother, I couldn’t be prouder to see your journey. Today is #EarthDay and the theme for 2024 is Planet vs Plastics. It’s about raising awareness of the problem of plastic waste and calling for meaningful changes - to protect the planet both now and in the future. This year the @nimsdai_foundations is returning to Everest for the #BigMountainCleanUp. Currently they are taking part in the Big Give Green campaign. If they can raise £20,500 by 25th (*in 3 days time,) then these donations will be DOUBLED to £41,000 through the #GreenMatchFund.
