E R L Ö S U N G ° [ relief ] That's my third and last painting of this series called 'melancholy of decay'. #melancholyofdecay as i already mentioned, the months since last summer have been a very difficult and unpleasant time for me and my family. drawing this series helped me to deal better with what happened, to better process the images that have burned into my head, to release all the emotions and thereby find strength again - for me and the rest of my family. after my mom was diagnosed with cancer last year and lost the fight against it within a few months, everything collapsed all at once. it was and still is very painful to talk about and think about, but my mom taught me a lot, but giving up and losing yourself was never a part of it. i thought for a long time whether i should post the drawings too or if i would prefer to have them for me, but my mom would say "show everything you ever draw, because it brings a piece of joy and positive things to the world and maybe helps others in such as well really painful moments to find support and strength again." she has always been very supportive of my art and has always been so proud of everything i have done. she was my biggest fan and i always appreciated that so much. thanks mom for everything. I love you 🤍 - martin . . . . . #photoshoppainting #digitalartwork #digitalartist #emotional #sadness #darkart #inmemoryof #madewithphotoshop #artistofinstagram #paintingstuff #sketchoftheday #digitalillustrator #lifesucks #artworkoftheday #paintingart #loveyoumom

Q U Ä L E R E I ° [ torment ] here's my second painting of the series #melancholyofdecay i think the title says it all about this drawing... and even if it doesn't always appear that way on the outside, something often torments you - on the inside. - martin . . . . . #photoshoppainting #digitalartwork #digitalartist #emotional #sadness #darkart #inmemoryof #madewithphotoshop #artistofinstagram #paintingstuff #sketchoftheday #digitalillustrator #grief #lifesucks #artworkoftheday #paintingart

E R K E N N T N I S ° [ realization ] this is my first painting of three. next one is coming soon. it's a very emotional series for me. it has to do with what happened to me last year. i also tried to process the whole thing by drawing. and i thought long time about sharing these paintings with the world - but yes i want to do that. maybe it helps other creative people to be able to deal with their own things/situations. art can heal and help to process and deal with your things. ♡ - martin . . . . . #melancholyofdecay #photoshoppainting #digitalartwork #digitalartist #characterillustration #emotional #sadness #darkart #inmemoryof #madewithphotoshop #artistofinstagram #paintingstuff #sketchoftheday #digitalillustrator #grief #lifesucks #artworkoftheday #paintingart

Card of the day: Queen of Diamonds by Martin Grohs @martin.grohs (Germany) for Future Edition II. https://playingarts.com/future/martin-grohs Enjoy free worldwide shipping ordering this deck (link in bio). “Today, 100 years from now, things will be different. The technology will be much further than it is now. People will have to face completely different challenges and devote themselves to completely new problems. But will people adapt to this? Or will they simply trust a powerful person without questioning, and will they thereby plunge themselves into the abyss? My queen is a queen, but does she really rule on her own? Or is she just a puppet of shadows? Shadows that no one sees or knows, but which in reality have the power and play us all off only each other - for their own provit. People tend to want to be blind. Not wanting to know the truth, because it‘s supposedly easier. And so many simply follow a queen who may make a good impression on the surface, but who herself is blind to the future. Who doesn‘t decide for herself which way she will go for us and ultimately only hangs in the threads of the shadows. So experience your future consciously and decide for yourself. Open your eyes and don‘t let them play with you.”

new or old? which on do you like more? i re-painted my darth talon for this year's star wars day - but i wanted to be a bit more creative and create my own character this time. - it is darth agochi. she belongs to the new sith order, fights in the vaapad lightsaber style and - like mother talzin once did - masters the power magic. if you swipe through you will see my painting from last year. which one do you like better? darth talon or darth agochi? may the 4th be with you! - martin 👨🏻‍🎨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀  | 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏: adobe photoshop cc  | 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏: microsoft surface studio #starwarsday #starwars #digitalpainting #maythe4thbewithyou #madewithphotoshop #martingrohs #starwarsart #characterdesign #characterillustration #portraitpainting #darkart #sith #fanart #photoshop

B U R N O U T 🔥 is the title of my new digital painting 🔥 I've been on Tiktok for almost 2 months - really active since a few weeks - and it's crazy to see what's happening there.🥸 Many tiktokers only see the likes, the fame - that's the light they strive for. That twinkle in her eyes. But they don't see how it burns them out inside. How they sell their soul for it. Many of them follow every stupid trend - and there are many of them - revealing things about themselves that should rather remain private. All just to be as "cool" as their role models or to get more attention. I wonder what their kids will say 10 years from now, seeing their parents bare themselves like that. 🤦‍♂️Really sad, but karma will sort it out.🤡 Don't get me wrong, there is also good content, no question, but I think it's even worse in Tiktok when it comes to "sex sells". I was already aware that there was a lot of trash involved, but I just wanted to try to get more into the subject of moving images/videos so I tried it out... And I will give it more time.🙏 How do you like Tiktok? Do you like it more than Instagram or less? Anyways.. if you are active there, add me 🤓 @ mr.grohs Have a nice evening! - Martin 👨🏻‍🎨

KAKURE ONI 👹 Another digital character illustration I painted this week... I really like to paint such dark, evil characters at the moment.😈 - maybe because of the Halloween time last week... But starting the next week with friendlier and brighter watercolor drawings - my calendar and 3 new drawings 😊 Have a nice evening! - Martin 👨🏻‍🎨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ | 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆: ~ 17h | 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏: Adobe Photoshop CC | 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒏: Microsoft Surface Studio #paintingartwork #digitalillustrator #digitalartwork #darkart #digitalart #characterdesign #paintingartwork #onyxkawai #digitaldrawing #demongirl #characterillustration #tentacles
