Art by Austin Domingo

Life will always have its challenges, so might as well have fun along the way and add some color to it. Hello World, I’m Austimon, an artist from Guam. I’m here to share my art and the experiences I have on this journey. As long as I do what I love, then good shall follow. www.austimon.com #guam #art #artist #dowhatyoulove #mural #muralart #paintings #paintlife #entrepreneur #smallbusiness #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #dreambig #lifeisgood

GTA x Austimon Mural ☝️ After months of working with GTA, the vision to provide a colorful mural tot he village of Dededo has come to fruition. This wall will most often be seen when you’re stuck in traffic, so I created something that would be pleasant to look at. My hope is that this wall becomes a reminder to take a moment to realize that life is beautiful. Much love and appreciation goes to @gtateleguam and their team for giving me this opportunity to do and show what I love most about life, which is creating art. It’s always blessing to me personally to be able to do this as a career. As an island boy who grew up hearing that we had to leave island to pursue our dreams, this opportunity is an example of how anything is possible if you believe in yourself, work hard at it and persevere through adversity. I tell myself, “if I don’t believe that I can do what I love at home, then what makes it a guarantee I can succeed anywhere else. So it has to start here, on Guam, the place I call home. Sooner or later the rest of the world will notice”. #guam #love #art #mural #dowhatyoulove

I continued to do what I love and I’m still here 🌺 2021 was a wild ride for me. I hit very dark lows, but made it through to reach some of my highest points. From working on the biggest walls, to rekindling my love for art and adopting a puppy, here is a photo dump of my year. ———————— UPDATE on the venue for my artshow! I booked a venue and it’s set for some time in FEBRUARY! An ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE THANK YOU TO THE ONLINE COMMUNITY here. From friends to new people I met online, your input and reach helped me find a spot. Will post more details within the next coming weeks. 🙏🏼 #guam #art #keepgoing #dowhatyoulove

Ocean Breeze Sea Turtles 🐢 A mini series of paintings of sea turtles colored in ocean breeze blue. Size: 8x10 inch Acrylic on canvas Been painting almost daily for the past couple of weeks which means I have a stock pile of them. I will have them available for sale on my website sometime in May. Will only be able to sell on Guam and ship to the US for now. For Guam, I just need to figure the best way to deliver them; either meet ups or work with a company that’s willing to be a pick-up location. Not sure yet, but this is a heads up to anyone who’s interested in owning an original painting. #art #painting #artoftheday #seaturtles #turtles #ocean #poscaart #posca #acrylicpainting #illustration #guam

A collection of bird motifs 🦢 Acrylic paintings on a 16in. Triangle canvases. Never painted on a triangle before so I figured birds would be a great fit. For practice, I like to freehand all the patterns and see where it goes. Pushing myself to see where my creativity pulls from is fascinating because I’m learning or at least trying to see how my mental state dictates the art I create. I noticed through the years of this “style” my patterns become less complicated and more “simple” or controlled. Maybe it reflects my current life where things aren’t as turbulent compared to back then when I was a younger artist trying to figure everything out. But one thing that remains the same is that I enjoy the creative process more than what the final outcome looks like. #painting #poscaart #posca #artoftheday #birdwatchers #acrylicpainting #illustration #guam #artlover

♒️♓️♈️ First look at my new art designs on shirts. All three Star Series designs are available on my website as shirts and prints. www.austimon.com Appreciate those that have already ordered from me. The support goes a long way as this is one of my main sources of income as a full-time artist who is on a never-ending challenge to keep myself afloat while doing what I love (art). When commissions are falling through or just not enough inquiring, I rather not wait or depend too much on them, so creating original art and having avenues to make them available for others to own has been my priority. I’m going to keep betting on myself and counting my lucky stars that I can keep at this. #dowhatyoulove #zodiacsigns #zodiac #horoscope #astrology #aquarius #pisces #aries #starsigns #digitalart #artoftheday #illustration #artlife

Invasive Species Letter Art 🪲 Here is the “PEST” part of the digital version of my mural design I did for Guam Department of Agriculture. The mural was done in part of their outreach project to bring awareness to the invasive species on Guam. For my design, I decided to include as many of the invasive species. Here is part one of the breakdown of each species per letter/number. P - Rhino Beetle 🪲 E - African Snail 🐌& Wild Hog 🐖 S - Brown Tree Snake 🐍 T - Mosquito 🦟 Each species is colored in red to highlight them and to serve as a symbol for warning. #insectlovers #insect #lettering #letterart #typegang #typespire #typetopia #fontstyle #goodtype #artoftheday #mural #painting #illustration #guam #invasivespecies

OCEAN Letter Art 🌊🐢🐚 Here is the latter half of my Guam Ocean Park mural design. The words “ocean” and “park” are all designed with more seashells and a few aquatic animals such as the sea turtle in “O” and the manta ray in the “A”. Overall it was a fun project to work on and will definitely expand on more oceanic/underwater theme designs. #ocean #guam #visitguam #pacificocean #ísland #islandlife #seaturtle #mantaray #starfish #typography #typegang #typeface #fontdesign #fontstyle #letters #lettering #letteringart #illustration #murals

Guam Letter Art 🇬🇺🐬🐚 Here is the digital version of the mural design I did for Guam Ocean Park. For this design, I incorporated a dolphin and seashells to emphasize an ocean theme. The color palette is based on GOP’s logo colors but has a pattern of its own with every letter. “G” is green/yellow, the “U” is yellow/orange, “A” is orange/blue, and “M” is blue/purple. #guam #visitguam #guamoceanpark #typegang #typespire #fontdesign #lettering #letterart #typography #oceanlife #pacific #muralart #digitalart #illustration
