I always love saving people’s “must have” lists after a renovation or a new build for future ideas. We just wrapped up our primary bath reno and while it’s top of mind, here’s a top 10 in case it’s helpful for any of you 😊. . 1. Heated floors. This is a splurge but I’d rather save on any other area to have this during a MN winter 🥶. . 2. Open shelving. The extra storage is super useful for storing bath items in pretty containers + towels. . 3. A ledge near the bath. I’ve been loving this for candles during a soak + 🌱‘s. . 4. Cafe curtains. Lets all the light in but also provides privacy . 5. Transom shower window. This was a solution for having floor to ceiling glass, while still letting the steam out. . 6. A shaving 🪒 niche. I first saw this on @drivenbydecor and I couldn’t stop thinking about it since! A place to store your razor + put your foot = genius! . 7. Under cabinet lighting. Seems odd for a bathroom, but so handy for a middle of the night trip. . 8. ALL the drawers. The best for keeping thing organized. We made them tall so even the large hair products fit. More on the organization soon! . 9. Outlets in the drawers. Hair tools taking up counter space - never again! . 10. Using a flat weave rug instead of a traditional bath mat. Way easier to get the size + pattern you want! . . . . . #bathroomremodel #bathroomdesign #bathroomdecor #bathroomorganization #bathroomrennovation #smmakelifebeautiful #beckiowensfeature #showemyourstyled #decor #neutralstyle #apartmenttherapy #serenaandlily

Now you see it … now you don’t 🧺! . This laundry closet is front and center in the main hall of our rambler house. Convenient? Yes!! But potentially unsightly? Double yes!! . I worked with @jkath_designbuild to come up with the perfect cabinet solution for a super small space. And I love the results. The doors pocket when I’m not using it, and it’s even pretty when open. . There’s a brass bar to hang clothes, a walnut top for folding, and even a spot for my laundry baskets. What’s in your dream (tiny or large) laundry space? . . . . . #laundry #laundryroom #openshelving #laundryroommakeover #laundryday #neutraldecor #designinspo #housegoals #smpliving #bhghome #designinspiration #interiorinspo #interiorstyling #newtraditional #moderntraditional #showemyourstyled #styledhome #smpliving #mydomaine #diyrenovation #diy #beforeandafter #booknook #organizedlife #organizedhome #sparkjoy #apartmenttherapy #oldhomelove #currentdesignsituation

There’s so many lovely shades of green and we adore them all! Happy St. Patrick’s day friends!! . The kids woke up to toilets tinted green and Lucky Charms cereal 🍀 🌈. Anyone else constantly redecorating and rearranging rooms? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Maybe I’ve spent too much time inside my house the past couple years but I desperately needed a refresh! This is technically our formal dining room. We used to have a long rectangular table in here that was used maybe 2x a year. It basically just took up space! We also have a table in our kitchen… so. many. tables. I opted for a smaller, round table, some new artwork and plants (of course) and now it’s become a cozy puzzle/game/coffee/Lego room ❤️ My new @ruggable arrived today and would you believe my two pups already ran over it with their muddy paws? 🐾(Minnesota springs are the worst) It hasn’t even been down 4 hours. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m reminded daily why I don’t buy non washable rugs! . . . . . #ruggable #diydecor #gallerywall #diningroom #diningroomdesign #neutraldecor #designinspo #housegoals #smpliving #bhghome #designinspiration #interiorinspo #interiorstyling #newtraditional #moderntraditional #paintinspo #styledhome #diyremodel #mydomaine #diyrenovation #diy #beforeandafter #diningroomdecor #organizedlife #organizedhome #sparkjoy #apartmenttherapy #oldhomelove #currentdesignsituation

Cheers to the weekend! Remember to set those clocks ahead this Sunday - I already know I’ll be missing that extra hour of 😴. . I received the loveliest linen cafe curtains in the mail today from DakinDecor on Etsy. This isn’t sponsored, but I love giving a shout out when I receive an awesome product and amazing service. Check them out if you’re looking for something similar 😉. . . . . . #bathroommakeover #bathroomremodel #bathroomrefresh #bathroominspo #bathroomdesign #navyandwhite #designinspo #bathroomgoals #smpliving #bhghome #designinspiration #interiorinspo #interiorstyling #newtraditional #moderntraditional #paintinspo #styledbathroom #diyremodel #mydomaine #diyrenovation #diy #beforeandafter #bathroomorganization #organizedlife #organizedhome #sparkjoy #tidy #apartmenttherapy #oldhomelove #currentdesignsituation

Headed up to a cozy cabin for the weekend for some cross country skiing and sledding. I’ve been working on a post about our favorite cabin rentals in MN and WI - is this something you all would like? We’ve been fortunate over to the years to stay at some real gems and thought it would be fun to share some of the best spots ❤️. . . . . . #givethanks #holidaydecor #getorganized #organizing #tidyingup #konmari #homeorganization #konmarimethod #holidayinspo #frontporch #frontsteps #mariekondo #organizingtips #organizedlife #organizedhome #organizingideas #organization #organized #gettingorganized #thingsorganizedneatly #beorganized #organizer #organize #organizers #organizedmom #tidy #nursery #clutterfree #organizeit #rsorganizing

This media area got a big upgrade this week - with very little effort 😉. We’ve talked about hanging the TV on the wall for years and finally got to it, surrounded it with a few pretty pics, and replaced the tv stand with something less bulky. Now I just need a good new show to watch, anything you’ve been loving? 📺 . . . . . #livingroommakeover #mediaroom #gallerywall #mediaroom #familyroom #neutraldecor #designinspo #housegoals #smpliving #bhghome #designinspiration #interiorinspo #interiorstyling #newtraditional #moderntraditional #paintinspo #styledhome #diyremodel #mydomaine #diyrenovation #diy #beforeandafter #familyroomrefresh #organizedlife #organizedhome #sparkjoy #tidy #apartmenttherapy #oldhomelove #currentdesignsituation

Cabin season is finally kicking off! Having a new co-worker this past week was sure a nice update for my office 🐾 . For those of you who didn’t catch it on stories, we recently added “Link” to the Style + Dwell pack. He’s been super good so far, and minding his manners during Zoom calls. . But he is a puppy and far from perfect 😉. Got any tips? I’m all ears, as I know so many of you have also welcomed furry friends into your homes. . . . . . #workfromhome #getorganized #organizing #tidyingup #konmari #homeorganization #konmarimethod #homeoffice #desk #organizedkids #mariekondo #organizingtips #organizedlife #organizedhome #organizingideas #organization #organized #gettingorganized #thingsorganizedneatly #beorganized #organizer #organize #organizers #organizedmom #tidy #nursery #clutterfree #organizeit #rsorganizing #sparkjoyjuly

Never did I think think the “mini makeover” for this bathroom would include a pink vanity, but I guess never say never 😉. This tiny bathroom off my daughter’s room was filled with challenges: 1950’s towel bars cemented to painted tile walls, green marble tile laid over the original mint green number, and that vanity... oouf 🤦‍♀️. . Someday the whole bathroom will get the 🔨, but I wanted to challenge myself to work with what’s here. The plan was to make it cheerful (add plants, muted pink + warm brass, and a fun basket wall). It’s different for sure, but design is all about a feeling, and it’s such a happy space now! I’m still debating that green marble tile though - would you paint it or leave it? . . . . . #bathroommakeover #bathroomremodel #bathroomrefresh #bathroominspo #bathroomdesign #navyandwhite #designinspo #bathroomgoals #smpliving #bhghome #designinspiration #interiorinspo #interiorstyling #newtraditional #moderntraditional #paintinspo #styledbathroom #diyremodel #mydomaine #diyrenovation #diy #beforeandafter #bathroomorganization #organizedlife #organizedhome #sparkjoy #tidy #apartmenttherapy #oldhomelove #currentdesignsituation
