Chobe National Park is Botswana's first national park, and also the most biologically diverse. Located in the north of the country, it is Botswana's third largest park. The park is widely known for its large elephant population, estimated to be around 50,000. Elephants living here are Kalahari elephants, the largest in herd size of all known elephant populations. They are characterized by rather brittle ivory and short tusks, perhaps due to calcium deficiency in the soils.

While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, the Victoria Falls is classified the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708m and height of 108m, resulting in the world's largest sheet of falling water. The Victoria Falls are roughly twice the height of North America's Niagara Falls and well over twice its width. Made this with the A7R, an adapted old #Leica 28mm lens + ND filter.

I know C is for compact but what to do when there are safaris coming up!

Sony A7C + Sony 85mm f/1.8 —————————- The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 360 km2 not-for-profit wildlife conservancy in Central Kenya's Laikipia County. The conservancy works to conserve wildlife, provide a sanctuary for great apes, and generate income through wildlife tourism and complementary enterprises for re-investment in conservation and community development. This is the place to go if you are into rhinos, but you will also find the rest of the big five as well as a big range of other wildlife.
