I am Sheba Augustine -the head chef and bottle washer at OMI. Here are 10 things you may not know about me 1. I began OMI by accident. I made some homemade skincare products including my signature Whipped Body Butter for a few mom friends as part of self-care gift sets and the rest is history. 2. I am a photographer- I still hesitate to say that out loud. I have loved photography ever since I was a little girl. Over the past year I have started taking on paid work. I love shooting people in nature (big surprise). Check out my work @sheba.augustine 3. I am a cat 🐈 person- I just love the level of chill they achieve consistently and without apology. 4. I am an Reiki Practitioner. Reiki is an energy healing modality that originates from Japan. Reiki supports the body, mind and spirit to come into balance and harmony. 5. My favourite travel destination to date has been Marrakech. In the future I would love to visit Egypt, India and Peru among many others. 6. I believe in the magic of affirmations and setting intentions. I think they re-wire my brain to focus on the positive and live in gratitude- that is where the gold is. 7. I love nature. My idea of a good time is hiking up a mountain or relaxing at the beach with good company. It gives me the ultimate reset. Self-care at its finest 8. I am a qualified attorney-at-law. I stopped practicing after having my daughter when I decided to pursue a creative career. 9. I am aspiring herbalist. The healing power of plants is absolutely fascinating to me. 10. If I had to curate a gift set that had to represent self-care and Grenada I would keep it pretty simple. I would want to curate a self-care moment that you can just sink into like your favorite comfy chair. It would prompt you to slow down and become deeply present and bask in the healing magic of Grenada 🇬🇩. From OMI I would include Whipped Cocoa Butter to rub onto your skin after a shower or a bath- you will smell like sweet Grenadian Cocoa. Light Codes Glowing Skin Elixir, the Honey Lips Combo and one of the OMI Honey Sugar Scrubs will also have to be included- to ensure that you have that effortless tropical glow. There would be bush tea- lemongrass from @richaromatea and a little bottle of local raw honey to sweeten it with.
