With bank holiday fully out of the way, we can now look forward to our next big full venue showcase, Tribes. If you know the history of The Cause, you know how special the original multiple-room extravaganza is, rising from the ashes of The London Loft Party, a nomadic rave that provided the DNA of The Cause and where most of our original crew met. Due to various circumstances, we have never had the chance to throw a full venue day and night. This will not only be our first opportunity to do this, but it's also sadly looking to be potentially the last full venue day and night summer party we ever throw in the Cause as you know it... More news on that soon, but before we bring out the tears, let's enjoy what we can together, so we seriously recommend for you to cop early and not miss out on our first Tribes back. The entire Cause & Grow complex will be open for this show, including our newer and biggest spaces The Theatre & Greenhouse. The Greenhouse will be open during the day 'til 10 pm, whereby The Theatre will open at 10 pm straight after its separate show with Ben UFO (if you wish to attend this please purchase a separate ticket)! Tonight we welcome A Love From Outer Space co-founder @hardwaybros for an all-night-long session in the Cage. Those who are familiar with the ALFOS sound will know the deep musical knowledge that they hold. Way back when we were still only dreaming of dancing again we had the first Worlds Collide event in our sight and when the opening week finally arrived it fell nothing short of an energetic madness. Leading up to the Costa del Carnival event at The Cause this Saturday, Threads chatted with their headliner and truly legendary dub innovator, Mad Professor. Ticket link in bio 👀 Details about the event below: On Sat 28th August, Carnival bank holiday weekend, Threads and Lin Kam Art come together for ‘Costa Del Carnival’ a multi-space, one-day festival - to celebrate and discuss the past, present and future of soundsystem culture. Indoor & outdoor arenas, soundsystems, food & drink, panel talks, dancers, live art & much more. The event is fundraising to support Success Primary School in Hanover, Jamaica. The children have been out of this small rural school for 18 months and counting, due to COVID-19, which has had a huge impact on their learning. Funds from the event will be used to support the school’s access to technology - providing equipment, classroom learning resources and therapeutic activities for the students.
