New short film with @marcopalomino

I grew up at the skatepark in Del Mar in the late 70’s, early 80’s. The place was torn down in ‘87, right as I was leaving home. Anyone who ever spent time there knows what a special place it was. Defined us. I always wanted to do this and finally carved out some time to recreate the logo precisely as it was. And had this one-off made.

Coming together.

Thank you @medium for featuring my recent article on Curiosity in Staff Picks. And welcome to 🧵.

New Reel is live. A whole bunch of new work is about the come out with choreographer, dancer and deep soul, @marcopalomino. This one also features Delisa Bass, who has brought magic to my camera before. Enjoy. Sound up.

I want to design a website for just cinematography work. Any filmmakers super happy with how their site looks?

What’s the exact time it goes from “going back to bed” into “taking a nap?” Asking for a friend.

The more I learn about photography and filmmaking, the more I realize how easy the technical knowledge has actually been, when compared to the work of having good ideas.

One of the greatest observations I’ve ever heard is that it’s not survival of the fittest, it’s survival of the nurtured. Lack of nurturing in children leads to 2x more likeliness to end up incarcerated. And adults without a caring social network are at greater risk of early death than smoking, obesity or physical inactivity.

Down in front!
