People and whales have a long history and a relationship that has changed dramatically over the centuries. While whale watching had been a big improvement in showing the beauty of whales, wild and alive, this activity can also becomes a problem from the well being of animals if there is too much pressure, too many boats, too much demand. Observing and swimming with wild animals is a magical experience which can also be a key to educate and raise awareness and scientific knowledge. But like any other human activity, we have to keep it sustainable so whales and humans can still share the kind of magical encounters that shown in this video. #whalewatching #whales #moorea #mooreaoceanadventures

Here in Moorea, it's now the time where we see more and more playful calves close to our reefs. It can truly be a lifetime experience to see them playing and dancing in this entire new world, under the loving eye of their mum. But like every year, we also want to highlight how vulnerable these animals are in this important step of their life. Swim with caution, approach them with respect and let them displaying their natural behavior. If they want to check you closer, they will, if not, that's fine too. 🎥 @vinny_lab #humpbackwhales #reels #moorea #mooreaoceanadventures

It's crazy how humpback whales love to interact with other cetaceans. In the last years, we witnessed them interacting with rough-toothed dolphins (like in this video), spinner dolphins, short finned pilot whales, Fraser dolphins, Risso dolphins, pygmy killer whales, melon headed whales and even Blainville beaked whales. The role of these interactions remain a mystery but we guess it's probably just for fun ! #whalewatching #whales #moorea #mooreaoceanadventures #frenchpolynesia

Around 40 different humpback whales sighted by our boats today. We do not even remember if we have already seen so many in one day before. 🎥 @koko_ocean_child #whales #moorea #mooreaoceanadventures

SOUND ON ! Whales are often seen as gentle giants. And then, you witness this kind of moments. In the world of humpback whales, there is the heat run, a kind of frantic race where several males pursue a female to have the opportunity to mate with her. And all shots are allowed, intimidation maneuvers and demonstrations of power. And sometimes, like today, it's a fight. The sound of this video has not been modified and yet it does not really give an idea of the violence of the shock. In the water, our guide Trevor heard a noise of a volume comparable to a dynamite explosion, to the point that his gopro shook. #whalewatching #moorea #mooreaoceanadventures #goproawards #fight
